Kylem O'Donnell
Kylem Francis Te Riri O'Donnell (born 1 August 1989) is a New Zealand rugby union player who currently plays as a halfback for in New Zealand's domestic Mitre 10 Cup. He is also a former All Blacks Sevens representative. Early career Raised in Waikato, O'Donnell attended Hamilton Boys' High School and played 47 games for the 1st XV along with younger brother Declan, who also went on to become a professional rugby player. O'Donnell was an NZ under 20s trialist in 2008 and was named as a non-travelling reserve for the IRB Under 20 World cup 2009 in Japan, alongside Cody Rei, who later joined the full Squad. Not being recognized by Waikato Academy until after making the NZ under 20s trials, O'Donnell decided to shift to Taranaki in 2009 after school, in pursuit of an ITM Cup contract. Thames, New Zealand
Thames () ( mi, Pārāwai) is a town at the southwestern end of the Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand's North Island. It is located on the Firth of Thames close to the mouth of the Waihou River. The town is the seat of the Thames-Coromandel (district), New Zealand, Thames-Coromandel District Council. The Māori people, Māori iwi are Ngāti Maru (Hauraki), Ngāti Maru, who are descendants of Marutuahu's son Te Ngako. Ngāti Maru is part of the Ngati Marutuahu confederation of tribes or better known as Hauraki Iwi. 2016 Mitre 10 Cup
The 2016 Mitre 10 Cup season was the eleventh season of New Zealand's provincial rugby union competition since it turned professional in 2006. The regular season began on August 18, when North Harbour hosted Counties Manukau. It involved the top fourteen rugby unions of New Zealand. For sponsorship reasons, the competition was known as the Mitre 10 Cup and it was the first season under the lead sponsor. The winner of the Championship, North Harbour was promoted to the Premiership, the seventh placed Premiership team, Hawke's Bay was relegated to the Championship. Format The Mitre 10 Cup standings were sorted by a competition points system. Four points were awarded to the winning team, a draw equaled two points, whilst a loss amounted to zero points. World Rugby Sevens Series
The World Rugby Men's Sevens Series is an annual series of international rugby sevens tournaments run by World Rugby featuring national sevens teams. Organised for the first time in the 1999–2000 season as the IRB World Sevens Series, the competition was formed to promote an elite-level of international rugby sevens and develop the game into a viable commercial product. The competition has been sponsored by banking group HSBC since 2014. The season's circuit consists of 10 tournaments that generally begin in November or December and last until May. The venues are held across 10 countries, and visits five of the six populated continents. The United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, France and England each host one event.
