Kyle Wilson (born November 2, 1995) is an American professional football linebacker for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Arkansas State. Professional career Philadelphia Eagles After going undrafted in the 2018 NFL draft, he was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent. He was released during the final roster cutdown on September 1, 2018. He was re-signed to the Eagles practice squad on October 2, 2018. He was released on October 16, 2018. Los Angeles Chargers On November 7, 2018, Wilson was signed to the Los Angeles Chargers practice squad. He was promoted to the Chargers active roster on December 13, 2018. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). 2020 CFL Season
The 2020 CFL season would have been the 67th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it would have been the 63rd season of the Canadian Football League. It was originally scheduled to begin on June 11; on April 7, the start of the season was delayed to begin no sooner than July due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. The CFL planned to obtain financial assistance from the federal government.
