Kyle Adnam
Kyle Reginaid Adnam (born 18 November 1993) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Wellington Saints of the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). Early life Adnam was born and raised in the Melbourne suburb of Lilydale. He played junior basketball for the Mt. Evelyn Meteors. In 2013, Adnam played in the Victorian Youth Championship (VYC) for the Kilsyth Cobras, a season which culminated in him scoring 37 points in the VYC Grand Final, to lead the Cobras to victory. He subsequently earned VYC All-Star Five honours and was named the league MVP. In 24 games for the Cobras in 2013, he averaged 17.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Professional career NBL For the 2013–14 NBL season, Adnam joined the Adelaide 36ers as a development player. He appeared in three games for the 36ers in 2013–14, scoring a total of four points. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Canadian Elite Basketball League
The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) is a men's professional minor league basketball organization. The CEBL was founded in 2017 and began play in 2019 with six teams competing all owned and operated by ownership group Canadian Basketball Ventures. The league currently consists of ten teams from six different provinces, with four being from Ontario, two from Alberta and one each from the provinces of British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Quebec, making the CEBL the largest professional sports league based entirely in Canada. 2018 New Zealand NBL Season
The 2018 NBL season was the 37th season of the National Basketball League. In 2018, the league welcomed back the Manawatu Jets after a two-season hiatus. The regular season commenced on Thursday 26 April in Napier with the Hawke's Bay Hawks hosting the Southland Sharks at Pettigrew Green Arena. The season contained 14 weeks of regular season games followed by a Final Four weekend in August. 2017 New Zealand NBL Season
The 2017 NBL season was the 36th season of the National Basketball League. For the second year in a row, the league fielded seven teams. The regular season commenced on Thursday 16 March in Invercargill with the Southland Sharks hosting the Nelson Giants at Stadium Southland. The season contained 13 weeks of regular season games followed by a Final Four weekend in June at Tauranga's ASB BayPark Arena. The seven teams played every team on three occasions to make up an 18-game round robin season. With an 18–0 record, the Wellington Saints made NBL history by becoming the first team to complete a perfect regular season. The Tasmania JackJumpers are an Australian professional basketball team based in Hobart, Tasmania, who entered the National Basketball League (NBL) in the 2021–22 season, and play their home games at MyState Bank Arena and the Silverdome.
