Kuwait's First Constituency
The first constituency of Kuwait is a legislative constituency in Kuwait. Like the other four constituencies in Kuwait, it elects exactly 10 members to the National Assembly via plurality vote. As of 2022, it currently represents twenty residential areas and has an electorate of 100,185. The Hawalli and Capital governates are divided between the first, second and third constituencies. The National Assembly ( ar, مجلس الأمة) is the unicameral legislature of Kuwait. The National Assembly meets in Kuwait City. Political parties are illegal in Kuwait, candidates run as independents. The National Assembly is made up of 50 elected members and 16 appointed government ministers (ex officio members). Overview The National Assembly is the legislature in Kuwait, established in 1963. Demographics Of Kuwait
This is a demography of the population of Kuwait ( ar, سكان الكويت). Expatriates account for around 60% of Kuwait's total population, with Kuwaitis constituting 38%-42% of the total population. The government and some Kuwaiti citizens consider the proportion of expatriates (which has been relatively stable since the mid-1970s) to be a problem, and in 2016 the number of deportations increased. Rumaithiya ( ar, Arabic:''Ar-Rumaytheeyah'' Kuwaiti Arabic:''Il-Irmeitheeyah'' ) is a residential area in Hawalli governorate, Kuwait City, Kuwait. It's geographically divided into twelve blocks. Salmiya (Arabic السالمية; transliterated As-Sālmīya(h)) is a city in Hawalli Governorate in Kuwait. Salmiya is administratively divided into 12 blocks. Bayan () is a residential area and district within Kuwait City in the Hawalli Governorate of Kuwait, consisting of 13 blocks, and situated approximately 15 kilometres away from the core areas of Kuwait City. Hawally ( ar, حولي) is an area in the Hawalli Governorate, located in the State of Kuwait. Hawally is a large settlement and the commercial center for most computer-related goods in Kuwait. Prior to the first Gulf War, it housed many Palestinians, but many left during and after the War. Currently, Hawally is home to many of the Arab populations in Kuwait including Egyptians, Syrians, Iraqis and Lebanese.
