Kurtatsch An Der Weinstraße
Kurtatsch an der Weinstraße (; it, Cortaccia sulla Strada del Vino ), often abbreviated to Kurtatsch or Cortaccia, is a ''comune'' (municipality) in South Tyrol in northern Italy, located about southwest of the city of Bolzano. Kurtatsch borders the following municipalities: Neumarkt, Margreid, Tramin, Coredo, Roverè della Luna, Ton, Tres, and Vervò. Coat-of-arms The emblem shows an or postillion hornet with tassels on azure background; at the corners are placed four six-pointed or stars. The postillon’s hornet indicates that the village was a postal station; the star represent the four villages in the municipality. The emblem was adopted in 1967. Or (heraldry)
In heraldry, or (/ɔːʁ/; French for "gold") is the tincture of gold and, together with argent (silver), belongs to the class of light tinctures called "metals", or light colours. In engravings and line drawings, it is hatched using a field of evenly spaced dots. Ladin Language
Ladin (, also ; autonym: , it, ladino; german: Ladinisch) is a Romance language of the Rhaeto-Romance subgroup, mainly spoken in the Dolomite Mountains in Northern Italy in the provinces of South Tyrol, Trentino, and Belluno, by the Ladin people. It exhibits similarities to Swiss Romansh and Friulian. The precise extension of the Ladin language area is a subject of scholarly debate. A more narrow perspective includes only the dialects of the valleys around the Sella group, while wider definitions comprise the dialects of adjacent valleys in the Province of Belluno and even dialects spoken in the northwestern Trentino. Finkenhof House

Ansitz Baron von Widmann is an '' Ansitz'' located in Kurtatsch an der Weinstraße, South Tyrol, Italy. The house has also been called Ansitz Staffelfeld, the Indermaur House and the Great Payr House. The Gothic-style main house, along with the horse stalls and barn, are the oldest part of the property. Expansions were made on the house in 1708. Additions to the first and second floors were made in 1860. Renovations and expansions continued on into the late twentieth century. Ansitz Nußdorf (or Ansitz Nussdorf) is an '' Ansitz'' in the South Tyrolean Unterland in Italy. The manor was once owned by the Indermaur family, who brought the manor to its present form in 1609. The south-eastern side of the mansion includes a square-shaped tower. Ownership of the estate has changed throughout the centuries. Nussdorf passed from the Indermaur family to the Kager family. Ansitz Strehlburg is an Ansitz in Kurtatsch an der Weinstraße, South Tyrol that was one of the main estates, along with Ansitz Freienfeld, of the In der Maur family. The estate is located at the entrance of Kurtatsch and was built in 1492. It includes a large manor house with a tower, farm buildings, stables, a central courtyard, a chapel, and a fortified wall. In the middle of the 15th century, Heinrich Indermaur's daughter married Stephen Strele in Kurtatsch. His name became tiled to the manor. It was called Strele, Strelen, and Strellenhof. Ansitz Freienfeld is an '' Ansitz'' located in Kurtatsch an der Weinstraße, South Tyrol, Italy. The manor was built in 1521 and has undergone several expansions, renovations, and changes in ownership. It is currently used by a winery to store barriques. It was one of the principal manors, along with Ansitz Strehlburg, of the In der Maur family. History Ansitz Freienfeld was constructed in 1521 in Kurtatsch an der Weinstraße, possibly by local judge Christian Truefer.
