Islamic Republic
The term Islamic republic has been used in different ways. Some Muslim religious leaders have used it as the name for a theoretical form of Islamic theocratic government enforcing sharia, or laws compatible with sharia. Kurdish Islamism
Kurdish-Islamic nationalism, () also known as Kurdish-Islamic synthesis, is a form of religious nationalism that combines Kurdish nationalism with Islamism. History The ideology emerged after the abolition of the Caliphate and the creation of Turkey, two events which angered the Kurds. Many Kurds, who felt that their culture, religion, language, and people were endangered because of Atatürk's reforms, began turning to Kurdish Islamonationalism.
