The National Democratic Party (NDP) is a List of political parties in Ghana, Ghanaian political party, founded in October 2012 as a split from the ruling National Democratic Congress (Ghana), National Democratic Congress. Progressive People's Party (Ghana)
Progressive People's Party (PPP) ( ak, Kɔ anim ɔmanfo Apontow) is a political party in Ghana. It was formed in 2012 by Paa Kwesi Nduom, the presidential candidate for the Convention People's Party in the 2008 general election. PPP pulled 64,267 popular votes in the 2012 general elections with Papa Kwesi Nduom as a flagbearer and Brigitte Dzogbenuku as the running mate, making it the third largest party and the second largest opposition party in Ghana. Muhammad Mumuni
Muhammad Mumuni (born 28 July 1949) is a Ghanaian lawyer and politician. He was reelected to Ghana's Parliament in the 7 December 2012 General Elections, when he won the Kumbungu Seat. Mumuni left parliament in 2004 when he became John Atta Mills' vice-Presidential running mate. Early life and education Muhammad Mumuni had his basic education at the Kumbungu Local Authority Primary School between 1955 and 1960. He then attended the Savelugu Local Authority Middle school from 1960 to 1962. His secondary education was at the Tamale Secondary School from 1962 to 1969. He proceeded to the University of Ghana for his LL.B (Hons). In October 1975, he obtained a barrister at law qualification from the Ghana School of Law. He is known in private life as Lawyer Mumuni. 2008 Ghanaian General Election
General elections were held in Ghana on 7 December 2008. Since no candidate received more than 50% of the votes, a run-off election was held on 28 December 2008 between the two candidates who received the most votes, Nana Akufo-Addo of the governing New Patriotic Party and John Atta Mills of the opposition National Democratic Congress.
