Kukës District () was one of the 36 districts of Albania, which were dissolved in July 2000 and replaced by 12 counties. It had a population of 64,054 in 2001, and an area of . The town of Kukës was where the district's administrative headquarters were located. The area of the former district is with the present municipality of Kukës, which is part of Kukës County. Kukës
Kukës ( sq-definite, Kukësi) is a city in the Republic of Albania. The city is the capital of the surrounding municipality of Kukës and county of Kukës, one of 12 constituent counties of the republic. It spans and had a total population of 16,719 people as of 2011. Geologically, the terrain of the surrounding area is dominated by mountainous and high terrain. The city sprawls across the Luma Plain within the Albanian Alps between the banks of Lake Fierza and the hills of the northernmost Korab Mountains and westernmost Shar Mountains. At the confluence of the Black and White Drin, the Drin River originates close to the city's territory. History Early Development Kukës traces its history back over a thousand years. District Of Prizren
The Prizren District (Albanian: ''Rajoni i Prizrenit''; Turkish: ''Prizren ili'') is one of the seven districts of Kosovo. Its seat is in the city of Prizren. According to the 2011 Census, it has a population of 331,670 and an area of 2,024 square km (around 20% of the total area of Kosovo). Albanians form the majority of the district (85%). However, the district of Prizren is home to the biggest Bosniak and Turkish population in Kosovo, who make around 10% of the district's total population. Zapod
Zapod is a village and a former municipality in Kukës County, northeastern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Kukës. The administrative unit of Zapod contains the villages of Orgjost, Kosharisht, Pakisht, Zapod and Orçikël which are populated by Slavic Muslims, called Gorani, who speak Torlakian ( Gora dialect), "In den 17 Dörfern des Kosovo wird Našinski/Goranče gesprochen, und sie gehören zu einer Gemeinde mit dem Verwaltungszentrum in Dragaš.
