Krnjača Bridge railway station is a railway stop serving the outskirts of Krnjača settlement in Palilula municipality of Belgrade, Serbia. Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks. An alternative arrangement is to position side platforms on either side of the tracks. The historical use of island platforms depends greatly upon the location. Krnjača
Krnjača ( sr-cyr, Крњача, ) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Palilula. Location and population Krnjača is located on the left bank of the Danube, across the Belgrade proper, to which it is connected only by one bridge, the Pančevo Bridge. The settlement is built behind the long embankment along the Danube, but it is still often flooded by the river. Krnjača is much scattered and stretched along two major roads in this area, the ''Pančevački put'' which connects Belgrade to the city of Pančevo and ''Zrenjaninski put'' which connects Belgrade to the city of Zrenjanin. Palilula (Serbian Cyrillic: Палилула, ) is a municipality of the city of Belgrade. It has the largest area of all municipalities of Belgrade. The core of Palilula is close to the center of the city, but the municipality also includes sparsely populated land left of the Danube. BG VOZ ( sr-Cyrl, БГ ВОЗ; stylized as BG:VOZ, sr-Cyrl, БГ:ВОЗ) is an urban rail system that serves the city of Belgrade, Serbia. It is operated by the public transit corporation GSP Belgrade and is a part of the integrated BusPlus system. Pančevo Bridge
Pančevo Bridge ( sr-cyr, Панчевачки мост, Pančevački most) or colloquially Pančevac ( sr-cyr, Панчевац) is a bridge over the Danube in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It was named after the northern city of Pančevo (in Vojvodina) which is connected to Belgrade by the road continuing from the bridge.
