''Krahu i shqiponjës'' ("''Eagle's Wing''") is an Albanian national magazine that first appeared in the democratic post-communist period, in Tirana (Albania), in 1995, in progress of Bilal Xhaferri's magazine, which was published in Chicago, United States. The spiritual leader was and still remains Bilal Xhaferri. History ''Eagle's Wing'' is a political, cultural, literary and social magazine that was first published in 1974, in two languages: Albanian and English, as an organ of the Cham League in Chicago, United States. The Albanian dissident writer Bilal Xhaferri was the founder, editor and leader of this magazine. (Bilal Xhaferri was born on November 2, 1935 in Ninat, Konispol, and after a dissident literary - publicistic activity was obliged to escape from the communist Albania in 1969 and find a shelter in Chicago, United States, where he died on October 14, 1986). Haim Reitan
Dr. Haim Nissim Reitan (born May 20, 1946) is a doctor, diplomat, translator and publicist. Personal life Reitan was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1946. At the age of nine, he moved to Israel with his family. He finished the college of biology in Bat-Yam. After finishing the military service, he won a studentship in Italy and since 1980 he has been an Italian citizen. Today he resides in Bergamo, Italy, where he has his own medical center. Skënder Gjinushi
Skënder Gjinushi (born 24 December 1949 in Vlorë, Albania) is an Albanian politician and academic. He has served in several high-ranking positions in the Albanian government, including as Speaker of Parliament and Deputy Prime Minister. He founded the Social Democratic Party of Albania and served as its chairman from 1991 to 2019. He is currently serving as the president of the Academy of Sciences of Albania. Early life and academic career Skënder Gjinushi was born 24 December 1949 in Vlorë. Fatmir Mediu (born 21 January 1967, in Durrës) is an Albanian conservative politician. He is the current Chairman of the Republican Party of Albania, and served as Minister of Defence from September 2005 to March 2008, and Minister of Environment, Forests & Water Administration. In March 2008, Mediu resigned from his position as Defence Minister following a military ammunition explosion in Gërdec, a village outside of the capital of Albania. Besnik Bajram Mustafaj (born 1958) is an Albanian writer and diplomat. Career Mustafaj is a former Albanian ambassador to France. He became 62nd foreign minister of Albania on 11 September 2005 when the government of Prime Minister Sali Berisha took office. He resigned on 24 April 2007 and was replaced by Lulzim Basha on 25 April. His resignation came after strong disagreements with Berisha. Sali Ram Berisha (; born 15 October 1944) is an Albanian conservative politician and former cardiologist who served as the second President of Albania from 1992 to 1997 and Prime Minister from 2005 to 2013. Pjetër Filip Arbnori (18 January 1936 – 8 July 2006) was an Albanian gulag survivor. He was dubbed "the Mandela of the Balkans" by Albanian statesmen because of the length of his 28-year internment. He was born in Durrës, on the Adriatic coast. President Topi bestowed the Nation's Honor Order upon Pjetër Arbnori (post mortem). Prof.Dr.Jakup Halil Mato (16 September 1934 in Fterra, Albania – 30 August 2005 in Tirana, Albania) was an Albanians, Albanian publicist and educational administrator.
