Koniskos
Koniskos (Greek: Κονισκός) is a village in the southwestern Trikala regional unit, Greece. It was the seat of the municipality of Tymfaia. In 2011 Koniskos had a population of 196 for the village and 294 for the community (including the village Kalochori). It is located in the Antichasia mountains, 25 km north of the city of Trikala, and 17 km northeast of Kalambaka. Tymfaia ( el, Τυμφαία) is a former municipality in the Trikala regional unit, Thessaly, Greece. Antichasia
Antichasia ( el, Αντιχάσια) is a forested mountain range in the northern Trikala and Larissa regional units in Thessaly, Greece. The range is part of the eastern foothills of the Pindus mountains. Its highest point is 1,424 m elevation, in the eastern part of the mountains. The Meteora rocks near Kalampaka are considered part of Antichasia. Antichasia stretches from the valley of the river Mourgkani in the west to the valley of the river Titarisios in the east. Both are tributaries of the river Pineios, which flows southwest and south of the mountains. Its length is approximately 45 km from east to west. The nearest mountains ranges are Chasia to the northwest and Kamvounia to the northeast. The vast Thessalian Plain is to the south. The mountain range gave its name to the municipal unit Antichasia in the western Larissa regional unit. Trikala ( el, Περιφερειακή ενότητα Τρικάλων) is one of the regional units of Greece, forming the northwestern part of the modern regions of Greece, region of Thessaly. Its capital is the town of Trikala. The regional unit includes the town of Kalampaka and the Meteora monastery complex. Trikala ( el, Τρίκαλα; rup, Trikolj) is a city in northwestern Thessaly, Greece, and the capital of the Trikala regional unit. The city straddles the Lithaios river, which is a tributary of Pineios. Kalambaka
Kalabaka ( el, Καλαμπάκα, ''Kalabáka'', alternative transliterations are ''Kalambaka'' and ''Kalampaka'') is a town and seat of the municipality of Meteora in the Trikala regional unit, part of Thessaly in Greece. The population was 12,000 at the 2011 census, of which 8,330 in the town proper. The Meteora monasteries are located near the town. Kalabaka is the northwestern terminal of the old Thessaly Railways, now part of OSE.
