Kombewa Technique
Kombewa is a town in Western Kenya, located 35 km west of Kisumu City, along Kisumu-Bondo road, in Seme, the sub-county of Kisumu County. Description Administrative Function Kombewa is the main administrative centre of the Seme Sub-County. The Deputy County Commissioner Offices, Kombewa Police Station, among other offices are located in the town. Tourist attraction Kombewa is the home of the famous Kit Mikayi Rock, which is located approximately 15 km from Kombewa town. Ndere Island National Park is also within the borders of the great Kombewa Town, located in the Lake Victoria at Asat Beach. Market Centre Owing to its location on a busy highway, Kombewa has served as a market centre for the vast Seme and its surroundings, with other market centres only found in Holo, Akala. Kit-Mikayi
Kit-Mikayi — also spelled Kit Mikayi, Kitmikayi, and Kitmikaye — is a rock formation, a tor, around 120 m high situated about 29 km west of the town of Kisumu in western Kenya. It is about 1 km from the Kisumu-Bondo road. The sign board is on the gate of Kit Mikayi primary school and entrance is via N’gop-Ngeso primary school. Kit-mikayi means "the stone of the first woman", or "stone of the first wife", in Dholuo, the Luo language. Kit-Mikayi, thought in East Seme ward, is the home to Barrack Gumba. Gumba is a professional Public Health Officer and youth advocate. Legends The legend behind Kit Mikayi, which in Luo dialect means "the stone of the first wife", is that: Long time ago, there was an old man by the name Ngeso who was in great love with the stone. Peter Anyang' Nyong'o
Peter Anyang' Nyong'o (born 10 October 1943) is a Kenyan politician and author who is the Governor of Kisumu County. He is a former Secretary-General of Orange Democratic Movement (the current Secretary-General is Edwin Sifuna). Professor Nyong'o was the acting party leader from March 11 until late May when Raila Odinga was in the United States and was elected to the National Assembly of Kenya in the December 2007 parliamentary election, representing the Kisumu Rural Constituency. He was the Minister for Medical Services and previously the Minister for Planning & National Development. He previously served as the Senator of Kisumu from 2013 to 2017. Dennis Oguta Oliech (; born 2 February 1985) is a Kenyan retired professional footballer who played as a striker. As a member of the Kenya national team, he became his nation's second all-time goalscorer, behind William "Chege" Ouma (35 goals), with 34 goals before retiring from international football in 2016. Club career Early career Oliech started playing football for Dagoretti Santos in his earlier years, then Mathare United. Hezekiah Oyugi
Hezekiah Oyugi (died 1992) was head of internal security for the Republic of Kenya in 1990 when Foreign Minister Robert Ouko was murdered. Both he and energy minister Nicholas Biwott were named as "principal suspects" in the crime by a British investigator during a commission of inquiry.
