Kohra (1964 Film)
''Kohraa'' (''The Fog'') is a 1964 Indian thriller film, thriller horror film directed by Biren Nag, starring Waheeda Rehman, Biswajeet and Lalita Pawar. The film was adapted from Daphne du Maurier's 1938 novel ''Rebecca (novel), Rebecca'', which was previously adapted by Alfred Hitchcock as Academy Award-winning ''Rebecca (1940 film), Rebecca'' (1940), though some supernatural elements were added to it, including a few from the movie ''Psycho (1960 film), Psycho''. This version is famous for its twist ending, which differs significantly from that of the original novel. Plot Rajeshwari meets rich Amit Kumar Singh and they both fall in love and get married. Amit brings Rajeshwari to his home - A huge imposing mansion in middle of Moorland, Moors. Biren Nag
Biren Nag (1922–1964) was an acclaimed Indian film director and art director in Hindi cinema. Prior to taking up direction himself, he served as Art Director for four of the most beautiful films shot in Mumbai in the late 1950s and early 1960s: '' Pyaasa'' (1957) '' Kala Pani'' (1958) ''Chaudhvin Ka Chand'' (1960); and '' Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam'' (1962). He won a 1960 Filmfare Award for Best Art Direction for his work on ''Chaudhvin Ka Chand'' (1960). In 1962 he directed his first film, '' Bees Saal Baad'' a noirish ghost story also starring Waheeda Rehman and Biswajeet, which garnered him a Filmfare Best Director Award nomination in 1963. Madan Puri
Madan Puri (30 September 1915 – 13 January 1985) was an Indian actor of Hindi and Punjabi films. His brothers were actors Chaman Puri and Amrish Puri. As a character actor mainly in negative roles (villain), he acted in about 430 films in a career spanning above fifty years. Early life Madan Lal Puri was born in Nawanshahr, Punjab, in a Punjabi Hindu family, to Nihal Chand Puri and Ved Kaur. He studied in Rahon. Rajkamal Kalamandir was a noted film production company and studio in Mumbai. It was established by V. Shantaram in 1942, after he left Prabhat Films. Shaukat Kaifi (21 October 1926 – 22 November 2019), also credited as Shaukat Azmi, was an Indian theater and film actress. Her husband was the Urdu poet and film lyricist, Kaifi Azmi. Sujit Kumar (7 February 1934 – 5 February 2010) was an Indian actor and producer. He appeared in over 150 Hindi films in the 1960s through the 1990s, and in at least 20 Bhojpuri films.
