Kofi
Kofi is an Akan masculine given name among the Akan people (such as the Ashanti and Fante) in Ghana that is given to a boy born on Friday. Traditionally in Ghana, a child would receive their Akan day name during their Outdooring, eight days after birth. According to Akan tradition, people born on particular days exhibit certain characteristics or attributes. Kofi has the appellation "Kyini", "Otuo" and "Ntiful" meaning "wanderer" and "traveller." Ellia Kofi Junior (born 7 March 2004) is a Ghanaian footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Ghana Premier League side Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs. Career Kofi started his senior career with Ebusua Dwarfs in October 2020 ahead of the 2020–21 season. On 12 December 2020, he made his Ebusua Dwarfs debut as 76th-minute substitute, replacing Obed Bentum during a 1–0 Ghana Premier League loss to Medeama at Cape Coast Sports Stadium. His first start came on 31 January 2021 in a 2–2 draw against Aduana Stars. On 3 March 2021, after putting up an impressive performance to guarantee a 2–1 home victory for Dwarfs, he was adjudged the man of the match. Laura Adorkor Kofi (died 8 March 1928), commonly known as Mother Kofi, was a Ghanaian minister and activist associated with the Universal Negro Improvement Association. She was assassinated while preaching in Miami, Florida. Early life Laura Adorkor Kofi (surname variously spelled as Kofy, Koffey or Kofey) was born near Accra, Ghana, possibly into a royal family. Osei Kofi
Osei Kofi is a retired Ghanaian footballer. He played for Asante Kotoko S.C. and the Ghana national football team. He was a joint top scorer in the 1965 Africa Cup of Nations tournament held in Tunis, Tunisia leading to Ghana winning the tournament for a second time. He was joint top goalscorer in 1965 Africa Cup of Nations and he was the third highest scorer in the 1968 Africa Cup of Nations. Osei Kofi was called the 'wizard dribbler' because of his ball dribbling skills. Osei Kofi apparently turned down a financial incentive to play in Europe at his prime in 1969. Tony Kofi
Tony Kofi (born 10 July 1966) is a British jazz saxophonist and flautist. He leads a trio and quartet and is co-founder of the Monk Liberation Band. His trio includes drummer Winston Clifford and Hammond B3 organist Anders Olinder. Kofi is signed to the Specific Jazz label. He has twice won BBC Jazz Awards: Best Instrumentalist in 2008 and Best Album in 2005 for ''All Is Know''. Tony joined Grand Union Orchestra in 1998, led by artistic director Tony Haynes, and has been a prominent player ever since. Rene Osei Kofi
Rene Osei Kofi (born 31 December 1991) is a Ghanaian-Dutch footballer who has played as a defender for various clubs in the Netherlands, England, Spain, Cyprus and North Macedonia. Career As a product of the Ajax Youth Academy, he began his professional career at Almere City in the Dutch Eerste Divisie on a season-long loan for the 2010–2011 season. On 10 November 2010, his loan spell was brought to an abrupt end following an incident in the Almere City locker room, where Osei Kofi put a gun to the head of teammate Christian Gandu. Vincent Akwete Kofi (1923–1974) was a Ghanaian artist and academic known for his modernist sculpture, which was inspired by themes such as Pan-Africanism and decolonization. He was described as "Ghana's most important sculptor". Early life and education Vincent Akwete Kofi was born in Odumasi-Krobo, Ghana on 16 January 1923. He trained at Achimota College, which had the first and foremost art department in West Africa. Carol Simms, better known as Kofi, is a British lovers rock singer who was a member of the group Brown Sugar prior to embarking on a solo career. Early life Simms was born in 1961 in Lambeth, South London, the third youngest of six children. With her Church Of God upbringing, and with the sound of everything from ska, reggae, jazz and soul emanating from the family home, Simms' love of music was enhanced, and after a brief flirtation with acting during which she attended drama school, her urge to make music began to dominate. At fourteen Simms wrote to the local newspaper, the ''South London Press'', and an article about her wanting to become a singer was featured. Kofi B
Kofi Boakye Yiadom (died February 2, 2020), known by his stage name Kofi B, was a Ghanaian people, Ghanaian highlife musician. He was known for songs such as "Mmobrowa", "Bantama Kofi Boakye" and "Koforidua Flowers", among others. He was inspired by the likes of Amakye Dede, Kojo Antwi and Ofori Amponsah. Education Kofi B attended Agogo State College in the Ashanti Region, but dropped out prematurely due to financial difficulties. Death Kofi B suffered a heart attack prior to performing at a concert in Cape Coast on February 2, 2020, and was pronounced dead on arrival after being rushed to a hospital. Kofi Nahaje Sarkodie-Mensah (born August 14, 1981) is a Ghanaian-born American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the NXT brand under the ring name Kofi Kingston. He appeared on WWE's NXT brand as one-half of the current NXT Tag Team Champions with Xavier Woods in their first reign. After graduating from Boston College, he decided to pursue a professional wrestling career, and began performing on the New England independent circuit as a Jamaican wrestler by the name of Kofi Nahaje Kingston.
