Horace Levering "Pip" Koehler (January 16, 1902 – December 8, 1986) was a Major League Baseball outfielder and professional basketball player. Baseball Koehler played only one season (1925) with the New York Giants. He was a small athlete at , 165 pounds, who threw and batted right-handed. Koehler attended Penn State University. On April 22, 1925, Koehler made his big league debut at the age of 23. He ended up appearing in only 12 games and collecting 2 at-bats. He struck out once and scored one run, but didn't collect a single hit. Used primarily as a pinch runner, Koehler was flawless in the field. He played his final game on September 12, 1925. Otto Koehler (20 December 1889 - 7 January 1974) was a German zoologist and pioneer Ethology, ethologist. He was a founding editor, along with Konrad Lorenz of the ''Zeitschrift für Tierpsychologie'' (Journal of animal psychology) which was later renamed as ''Ethology (journal), Ethology''. He was among the earliest to explore the numerical abilities of animals, and to use tools like film to study animal behaviour. Otto was born in Chernyakhovsk, Insterburg, Prussia, the fifth and the only child to survive of Lutheran pastor Eduard Koehler and his second wife Karoline née Heinrici. Megan Koehler (born July 18, 1989 in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories as Megan Cormier) is a Canadian curler. She is currently the alternate for the Kerry Galusha rink out of the Yellowknife Curling Club in Yellowknife. Career Juniors Koehler made her National curling debut at the 2007 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. She skipped her own team, representing the Northwest Territories. Koehler and team would have a very difficult time at the event, failing to win a single game, finishing round robin with a 0-12 record. Lyle P. Koehler (March 6, 1944 – July 30, 2015) was an American historian and author. Early life and education Koehler was born in Sparta, Wisconsin on March 6, 1944, to parents Irene and Lyle Koehler Sr. He attended Black River Falls High School for two years and finished at Sparta High School before enrolling at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. Koehler earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1966 and his Master's degree in 1968 from the University of Cincinnati. He worked towards a PhD in philosophy for three years before saying "I began generating history and never got the PhD." Career Upon completing his Master's degree, Koehler began working as the director of tutorial and referral services at the University of Cincinnati.
