''Klim'' (russian: Клим) is a Russian psychological crime drama television series starring Konstantin Lavronenko as the title character, Detective Chief Inspector Klim, who works in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The series is a direct remake of the BBC TV series ''Luther''. The show is produced by Sreda for broadcast on Channel One Russia. Shooting began in Moscow in August 2014, and the first episode aired January 2016. Plot Klim is a Detective Chief Inspector working for the Serious Crime Unit in Saint Petersburg Police. A dedicated police officer, Klim is obsessive, possessed, and sometimes dangerous in the violence of his fixations. However, he has paid a heavy price for his dedication; he has never been able to prevent himself from being consumed by the darkness of the crimes with which he deals. Klim (stylized as KLIM) is a brand of powdered milk sold by Nestlé, which acquired it in 1998 from Borden. Klim is sold worldwide, Early ads featured the slogan "Spell it backwards." History Klim was developed as a dehydrated whole-milk powder for use in the tropics, where ordinary milk tended to spoil quickly. It soon became a staple of scientific explorers, geologists, soldiers, and other jungle travelers who needed a lightweight dry ration that would keep for several days in high heat and humidity, even when decanted from its container. In 1920 Klim was a product of Merrell-Soule Company of Syracuse, New York which in 1907 had improved the spray-drying method patented by Robert Stauf in 1901 by starting with condensed milk instead of regular milk. In 1927 Borden acquired Merrell-Soule gaining the Klim brand and None Such Mincemeat, both already made popular worldwide. The Klim Type Foundry is a digital type foundry operated by Kris Sowersby, a New Zealand typeface designer. Klim was founded in 2005 and is currently based in Wellington. Klim produces retail typefaces, custom typefaces and custom lettering and logotypes. Sowersby has garnered many international awards for his typefaces. Kris Sowersby Sowersby, born in 1981, graduated from the Wanganui School of Design in 2003. 'Feijoa', his first retail typeface, was released in 2007, followed by 'National'. National first gained him international recognition, winning a Type Directors Club award in 2008. His typefaces 'Hardys' and 'Serrano' won the same recognition in 2009. KCRN (1120 kHz) is an AM radio station licensed to Limon, Colorado, and serving East Central Colorado. The station is owned by Catholic Radio Network, Inc. It airs a Catholic radio format, mostly carrying talk and teaching programs from the EWTN Radio Network. Programming is simulcast on KRCN in Longmont, Colorado, serving the Denver metropolitan area. By day, KCRN broadcasts at 50,000 watts, the maximum power for most AM radio stations in the U.S. The high power and directional antenna allow KCRN to be heard in Denver and Colorado Springs. But because AM 1120 is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A KMOX in St. Louis, Missouri, KCRN must leave the air at night when radio signals travel farther. His only novel, it describes a utopian society from an outsider's point of view, and often pokes fun at diverse cultural and social topics such as morality, science, sexual equality, religion, governments, and philosophy. Plot summary The novel starts with a foreword that ''assures'' that everything in the story is a real account of the title character's exploits in the Underworld.
