Kirk Sandall Railway Station
Kirk Sandall railway station serves the suburb of Kirk Sandall in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. The station is north of Doncaster on the South Humberside Main Line. The current station opened by British Rail in 1991 and is not on the site of the original station, which was about up the line eastwards. Facilities The station consists of a single concrete island platform located between the inner 'fast' lines on the quad track section of route between Marshgate Junction, Doncaster and Thorne Junction. It is unstaffed but there is a ticket machine near to the car park entrance. A single waiting shelter is the only structure on the platform apart from bench seating, timetable posters and customer information screens. Both platforms are fully accessible by means of a long inclined ramp from the main entrance on the road above. Scunthorpe Railway Station
Scunthorpe railway station serves the town of Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire, England. The station is located a short walk from the town centre, on Station Road. As one approaches the station by road, there is a pay and display car park with around 50 spaces, including 2 disabled spaces. From the car park, it is a short walk to the Ticket Office. Close to the entrance, there is a public telephone box. The station has two platforms. Platform 1 serves mainly eastbound trains toward Grimsby/Cleethorpes, although some Northern Trains "stopper" services toward Doncaster do use this platform through the day. All westbound TransPennine Express (TPE) services, and most Northern services use Platform 2. Hatfield Colliery Landslip
Hatfield Colliery, also known as Hatfield Main Colliery, was a colliery in the South Yorkshire Coalfield, mining the High Hazel coal seam. The colliery was around northwest of Hatfield, South Yorkshire, adjacent north of the railway line from Doncaster to Scunthorpe (former South Yorkshire Railway, or ''Barnsley to Barnetby Line'') northeast of Hatfield and Stainforth railway station. The colliery opened in 1916. The pit was stopped in 2001, and restarted 2007; the mine passed through a number of different owners in the early part of the 21st century, with subsequent operators entering receivership. During the same period the site was proposed as the location for high-technology coal burning power stations schemes which did not proceed. Hatfield And Stainforth Station
Hatfield and Stainforth railway station serves the towns of Hatfield and Stainforth in South Yorkshire, England. It is located north east of the main station. The original station, known until the 1990s as "Stainforth and Hatfield" and was built in 1866 as a replacement for the South Yorkshire Railway's Stainforth when their line was brought to its present alignment. The station was renamed Hatfield and Stainforth in the 1990s when it was considered that Hatfield was the larger of the two and had the larger population.
