Janine Scholz, better known by her simple stage name Kira, is a former German singer-songwriter who was born in Wuppertal on October 20, 1978. History From the beginning of her musical development Kira had an unstoppable will to write her own music and songs. At the age of ten she started studying the violin, but after six years it became clear to her that she would not be able to develop herself on this instrument. She subsequently got a job at a metalworks factory and used her earnings to buy her first guitar and begin writing her songs. "If you write your own material," she has said, "there’s a personal meaning and the greatest sense of credibility behind every word and every note. And that’s also the most important factor for me—it doesn’t matter whether I’m listening to music or writing it. A song has to say something to me, be honest and touch me." GIGA Television
GIGA was the brand name of a digital TV channel (also known as GIGA Digital or GIGA TV) and several German television shows. The channel ceased operations in 2009. History Early days The first GIGA show was broadcast on 30 November 1998. The show NBC GIGA was first shown on the television channel NBC Europe. The show ran for five hours, from 3 pm until 8 pm. Suidakra (stylized SuidAkrA) is a German melodic death metal band from Düsseldorf, Germany. During their twenty-year career, they have performed over 200 live shows for several European and Russian tours, as well as a North American tour. They are known for their use of traditional instruments to augment their sound, such as the bagpipe, banjo, and tin whistle. History Suidakra was formed in 1994 by guitarist Arkadius Antonik and drummer Stefan Möller under the name Gloryfication. Keimzeit
Keimzeit is a German musical band formed in 1979 in Lütte (Belzig) near Potsdam, GDR (German Democratic Republic). Originally called ''Jogger'', they changed their name to ''Keimzeit'' in 1982. The originally family-based band, led by Norbert Leisegang, at first performed live at festivals and parties in the region around Potsdam. They gained popularity across East Germany, and after the fall of the Berlin Wall they got the chance to tour the whole of Germany, achieving success in West Germany as well. In 1990 they released their first CD, ''Irrenhaus'', and in 1993 they had their biggest hit with ''Kling Klang''.
