Kinyangiri
Kinyangiri is an administrative ward in the Mkalama District of the Singida Region of Tanzania. According to the 2002 census, the ward had a total population of 18,838. According to the 2012 census, the population had decreased to 13,475. Historical background A native tribe of Wanyiramba has been living in Kinyangiri and its surroundings long before the arrival of Germans in the 1890s who settled and established an administration in the village. During the colonial era, Kinyangiri village saw a number of new buildings and infrastructure built under the rule of the Germans, these include the rest house, primary school, court house, storage facilities, water wells and contour banks to prevent soil erosion. Later, Arabs arrived mainly from Zanzibar and Oman as businessmen, they built retails shops and traded with the local people. Mkalama District
Mkalama District is one of the six districts of the Singida Region of Tanzania. It is one of the 20 new districts that were formed in Tanzania since 2010; it was split off from Iramba District. Mkalama District is bordered to the north by Simiyu Region and Arusha Region, to the east by Manyara Region, to the south by Singida Rural, Singida Rural District and to the west by Iramba District. According to the 2012 Tanzania National Census, the population of Mkalama District was 188,733. Singida Region
Singida Region (''Mkoa wa Singida'' in Swahili) is one of the regions of Tanzania. The regional capital is the municipality of Singida. The region is bordered to the north by Shinyanga Region, Simiyu Region and Arusha Region, to the northeast by Manyara Region, to the east by Dodoma Region, to the southeast by Iringa Region, to the southwest by Mbeya Region and to the west by Tabora Region. Tropical savanna climate or tropical wet and dry climate is a tropical climate sub-type that corresponds to the Köppen climate classification categories ''Aw'' (for a dry winter) and ''As'' (for a dry summer).
