Killed By Death (song)
"Killed by Death" is a song by the English heavy metal band Motörhead. Released in 1984, in 7" and 12" vinyl pressings. It peaked at number 51 in the UK Singles Chart. Promotion To assist its promotion in the United States, Bronze/Island pressed a 12" promo version for radio play (identical versions on both sides). It is one of the most difficult to find of all Motörhead items. There is also a video made for the track, directed by the manager of the Plasmatics, Rod Swenson, which was banned by MTV for "excessive and senseless violence". Despite relatively high-profile exposure on TV programmes such as Channel 4's '' The Tube'', the single failed to make any significant impression on the UK Singles Chart. This proved particularly disappointing to Lemmy, who at live shows regularly made joking references about its lack of sales. Motörhead
Motörhead () were an English rock band formed in London in 1975 by Lemmy (lead vocals, bass), Larry Wallis (guitar) and Lucas Fox (drums). Lemmy was also the primary songwriter and only constant member. The band are often considered a precursor to the new wave of British heavy metal, which re-energised heavy metal in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Though several guitarists and drummers have played in Motörhead, most of their best-selling albums and singles feature drummer Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor and guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke. Motörhead released 23 studio albums, 10 live recordings, 12 compilation albums and five EPs over a career spanning 40 years. Usually a power trio, they had particular success in the early 1980s with several successful singles in the UK Top 40 chart. ''Nö Sleep at All'' is the third live album by the band Motörhead, released in October 1988 by GWR Records, their only live album and last release with the label as legal matters continued between the parties. Background Motörhead and their record label GWR disagreed over the choice of a single from the album; the band wanted to release "Traitor," which had appeared on their most recent LP Rock 'n' Roll (Motörhead album), ''Rock 'N' Roll'', while the label argued for the Motörhead classic "Ace of Spades (song), Ace of Spades". This led to a lawsuit and a parting of the ways. Crucified Barbara
Crucified Barbara were an all-female Swedish hard rock and heavy metal band, formed in Stockholm in 1998. Background Crucified Barbara started out in 1998 as a punk rock band, but soon they changed their primary style to hard rock. They signed in 2003 with GMR Music Group of Stockholm. Recordings took place in Kristianopel, Sweden at Pama Studios/Blakk Records with producer-engineer Mankan Sedenberg during the spring of 2004. Their advance debut single from their first album ''In Distortion We Trust'', was "Losing the Game". It was released on 8 December 2005 and went straight to No. 8 on the Swedish music charts. Paragon (band)
Paragon is a speed metal band from Hamburg, Germany. Biography Paragon was founded by guitarist Martin Christian (who in many of the band's album booklets is written as Martin Wöbcke when it comes to songwriting-credits). After releasing some demo tapes and a mini-CD, they were able to release an album in 1994, the debut '' World of Sin''. Shortly after this, their record company Blue Merle went bankrupt, and Martin decided to put the band on hiatus. About two years later, Martin found four new members (Andreas, Jan, Markus, and Claudius) and recorded the album '' The Final Command''. In 1999, '' Chalice of Steel'' was released. Heist (2008 Comedy)
''Heist'' is a one-off 2008 television comedy-drama, written by Peter Harness and directed by Justin Hardy. It was completed at the end of 2006 and first broadcast on 23 April 2008 on BBC Four as part of its Medieval season. Loosely based on real events surrounding Richard of Pudlicott, it is a parody of and/or homage to heist films, set in medieval England, using several of that genre's conventions (such as the raid being "one last job", and the use of an unintelligent but physically strong figure), and trailed under the same tagline as the 2003 remake of ''The Italian Job'' ("Get in, get out, get even"). Hell
In religion and folklore, hell is a location in the afterlife in which evil souls are subjected to punitive suffering, most often through torture, as eternal punishment after death. Religions with a linear divine history often depict hells as eternal destinations, the biggest examples of which are Christianity and Islam, whereas religions with reincarnation usually depict a hell as an intermediary period between incarnations, as is the case in the dharmic religions.
