Kill The Lights (band)
Kill the Lights is a British and American metalcore supergroup founded in 2019 by former singer of Throw the Fight James Clark and former drummer of Bullet for my Valentine Michael "Moose" Thomas. Their debut album 'The Sinner' was released in 2020 and generally received positive feedback. Their second album 'Death Melodies' was released in March 2024. Their music is considered metalcore with elements of classic metal. One of their lyrical themes are the struggles of singer James with mental health, anxiety and depression. Heavy Metal Music
Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Fearless Records
Fearless Records is an American independent record label that was founded in 1994. Supergroup (music)
A supergroup is a musical group whose members are successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. The term became popular in the late 1960s when members of already successful rock groups recorded albums together, after which they normally disband. Charity supergroups, in which prominent musicians perform or record together in support of a particular cause, have been common since the 1980s. Throw The Fight
Throw the Fight is an American rock band originating from Minneapolis, Minnesota. History ''The Fire Within'' Throw the Fight started out as a five-piece group in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band recorded several demos and an eponymous three song EP with lead vocalist Brandon Kyllo. Years later, Paul Kreuger replaced Brandon as the band's vocalist and, collaboratively, the group began writing and recording their next EP, ''The Fire Within''. While still recording their EP, which consisted of four tracks, Throw the Fight was voted as one of the Top Ten Unsigned Bands in the country by Alternative Press in 2006. Shortly after, Throw the Fight signed with Cordless Recordings – a digital label that is part of the Warner Music Group.
