Justin Kili
Justin Hansu Kili, often known as JK, OL MBE (c. 1953 – January 17, 2015) was a Papua New Guinean media personality, journalist, activist, and pioneer. His career, which began in the 1970s, spanned radio, television, and print media, including newspapers. Kili served on the boards of directors of numerous organizations, including the Media Council of Papua New Guinea and Transparency International Papua New Guinea (TIPNG). Justin Kili was originally from Lemanmanu village, Buka Island, located in the present-day Autonomous Region of Bougainville. He began his career in radio in the 1970s. In 1972, journalist Keith Jackson hired Kili at Radio Bougainville, his first job in media and broadcasting. Kili worked as a journalist for 35 years, focusing much of his work on corruption in government. Kiliona Lefotu (born November 23, 1983) is a former American football guard. He played college football at Arizona. He was selected by the Washington Redskins in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Early life and college career Born in Honolulu to Samoan American parents, Lefotu attended Arlington High School in Riverside, California. At the University of Arizona, Lefotu played for four years at offensive line on the Arizona Wildcats football team, starting at right guard from 2003 to 2005. Professional career The Washington Redskins selected Lefotu in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft with the 230th overall pick. Mount Kilimanjaro () is a dormant volcano in Tanzania. It has three volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. It is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain above sea level in the world: above sea level and about above its plateau base. Battle Of Kili
The Battle of Kili was fought in 1299 between the Mongols of the Chagatai Khanate and the Delhi Sultanate. The Mongols, led by Qutlugh Khwaja, invaded India, intending to conquer Delhi. When they encamped at Kili near Delhi, the Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khalji led an army to check their advance. Alauddin's general Zafar Khan attacked a Mongol unit led by Hijlak without Alauddin's permission. The Mongols tricked Zafar Khan into following them away from Alauddin's camp, and then ambushed his unit. Before he died, Zafar Khan managed to inflict heavy casualties on the Mongol army. The Mongols decided to retreat after two days. Background The Delhi Sultanate was ruled by Alauddin Khalji, who had taken the throne of Delhi after assassinating his uncle in 1296. Kili Island
Kili Island or Kili Atoll ( Marshallese: , ) is a small, () island located in the Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is the temporary home of 548 inhabitants who are descended from islanders who originally lived on Bikini Atoll. They were relocated when they agreed to let the U.S. government temporarily use their home for nuclear testing in 1945. Kili Island became their home after two prior relocations failed. The island does not have a natural lagoon and cannot produce enough food to enable the islanders to be self-sufficient. It is part of the legislative district of the Ralik Chain of the Marshall Islands. The island is approximately southwest of Jaluit. It is one of the smallest islands in the Marshall Islands. KILI (90.1 FM), licensed to Porcupine, South Dakota, is a non-profit radio station broadcasting to the Lakota people on the Pine Ridge, Cheyenne River, and Rosebud Indian Reservations, part of the Great Sioux Nation. The station started broadcasting in 1983 as the first American Indian-owned radio station in the United States. Kilis is a city in south-central Turkey, near the Syria–Turkey border, border with Syria, and the administrative centre of Kilis Province. History Although there aren't any definite information related to its foundation, today's Kilis mainly developed and became urbanized during the Ottoman Empire, Ottoman period. However, traces of important cities found in the near surroundings of Kilis and the historical documents prove that important centres were always present here in every period. Kilis Province
Kilis Province ( tr, Kilis ili) is a province in southern Turkey, on the border with Syria. It used to be the southern part of the province of Gaziantep and was formed in 1994. The town of Kilis is home to around 67% of the inhabitants of the province; the other towns and villages are very small. History There is evidence of human occupation from 4,000 years ago, in the Middle Bronze Age.
