Kids' WB Australia
''Kids' WB'' (stylized as ''Kids' WB!'') is an Australian children's television programme which aired on the Nine Network from 16 September 2006 to 29 November 2019. It is based on the US television block of the same name with the addition of hosted content, which was absent in its American counterpart. It was originally hosted by Georgia Sinclair and Shura Taft. The show is a television block which aired on weekend mornings and weekday afternoons, mainly consisting of cartoons and locally hosted variety-style segments, filmed at GTV-9 in Melbourne, itself owned by the Nine Network, and occasionally on location at Warner Bros. Movie World in Queensland. The show would not air over December and January. As of 2013, ''Kids' WB'' aired exclusively on 9Go!. Its final presenters were Lauren Phillips and Andy Sunderland. GTV (Australia)
GTV is a commercial television station in Melbourne, Australia, owned by the Nine Network. The station is currently based at studios at 717 Bourke Street, Docklands. GTV-9 is the home of the Australian Open tennis coverage. History GTV-9 was amongst the first television stations to begin regular transmission in Australia. Test transmissions began on 27 September 1956, introduced by former 3DB radio announcer Geoff Corke, based at the Mount Dandenong transmitter, as the studios in Richmond were not yet ready. The station covered the 1956 Summer Olympics which Melbourne hosted., the 1956 Carols By Candlelight and the Davis Cup tennis as part of its test transmissions. TV Tonight is an Australian-based website which features reviews, news and programming information related to television in Australia as well as OzTAM ratings information. The site was started by television critic David Knox in 2007 after listeners of his radio programs asked him for information they had missed. Knox runs the site, publishing his interviews with Australian media actors, producers, directors and programmers. Knox regularly visits the sets of Australian television series and reviews television programs. Knox also served as television critic for ABC Radio National's breakfast program from 2009 to 2015. Dan Barrett is now in this role. Knox has an advanced diploma in screenwriting and was the founding Artistic Director of Screenplay.
