Kidney Hill Park
Kidney Hill Park, also known as Ahmed Ali Park, is an urban park located in Karachi, Pakistan. The park is known for its kidney-shaped hilly terrain and is considered one of the highest points in Karachi. History The park was designated as a public area in the early 1960s. Despite this, it remained inaccessible to the public for approximately half a century due to unlawful occupation by various public and private entities. In 2019, a significant anti-encroachment campaign was launched in the city by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. As a result of this initiative, all unauthorized structures within the Kidney Hill Park were removed, including a mosque, a shrine, and a graveyard. After the park land was cleared, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) initiated a project to transform Kidney Hill Park into a modern urban forest. Karachi Metropolitan Corporation () is a public corporation and governing body to provide municipal services in Karachi, the largest city of Pakistan. History 1852 Karachi Conservancy Board was established to control cholera epidemics in Karachi during British rule in 1846. Wasim Akhtar
Wasim Akhtar (Urdu: ; born 25 November 1955) is a Pakistani politician of the Muttahida Quami Movement (P). He served as the Mayor of Karachi, Pakistan's largest city, from 2016 to 2020. Shortly after his nomination as Mayor, he was controversially arrested for what his supporters saw as political reasons. Akhtar worked as a telecommunication engineer for AT&T in Saudi Arabia for ten years. After returning to Pakistan, he started radio sets and telephone sets assembly business which later expanded to pharmaceutical distribution. Murtaza Wahab
Murtaza Wahab is a Pakistani politician who is the current Adviser to Chief Minister of Sindh on Rules and regulations. He was a member of the Senate of Pakistan from August 2017 to March 2018. Political career On 30 April 2015, he was inducted into the provincial Sindh cabinet of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and was appointed as adviser to the Chief Minister on law. On 21 May 2015, he was given the status of minister. A petition was filed in the High Court of Sindh challenging the appointment of Wahab as adviser to the Chief Minister and the granting of minister's status to Wahab.
