Khazana (1987 Film)
''Khazana'' () is a 1987 Indian Hindi-language action-adventure film, produced by Subhash Kapoor under the Subhash International banner and directed by Harmesh Malhotra. It stars Randhir Kapoor and Rekha, while Jeetendra, Rishi Kapoor have special appearances and music was composed by Laxmikant–Pyarelal. The movie is loosely based on the 1984 Kannada movie ''Gandu Bherunda'' which in turn was inspired by the 1969 American film ''Mackenna's Gold''. Plot The film revolves around a valuable ancient treasure of Mughals hidden at Registan. At present, its route map which is sculpted on a slab is shared by two archaeologists Prof. Ramdayal Singh & Prof. Mathur. Jai Singh a malevolent is also behind this treasure. Amrish Puri (22 June 1932 – 12 January 2005) was an Indian actor, who was one of the most notable and important figures in Indian cinema and Theatre. Anwar Hussain (born 1 February 1949), known popularly by his first name Anwar, is an Indian playback singer who rose to prominence in the Hindi playback industry because of the uncanny resemblance of his voice with that of singer Mohammed Rafi. Early years Anwar was born in Mumbai on 1 February 1949. His father, Ashiq Hussain (Ahmed Ali Khan), was an accomplished sitar and harmonium player and an assistant music director to the musician Ghulam Haider. Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian playback singer, actor, music composer. Kumar launched his own music production company, named Kumar Brothers Music. He predominantly worked in Bollywood and regional film songs since the 1970s, including 150 Hindi and Bengali compositions by R. D. Burman. After Burman's death in 1994, citing a lack of quality music composition, Kumar withdrew from playback singing and concentrated on live orchestra shows. Shailendra Singh is an Indian playback singer and actor. He sang several Hindi and a few Marathi songs during the late 1970s and early 1980s. He was very close to Mehmood Ali. Mohammed Rafi (24 December 1924 – 31 July 1980) was an Indian playback singer and musician. He is considered to have been one of the greatest and most influential singers of the Indian subcontinent. Early life Anand Bakshi (Bakshi Anand Prakash Vaid) was born in Rawalpindi in the Punjab Province of British India (now in Punjab, Pakistan), on 21 July 1930 into a Mohyal Brahmin family of the Vaid clan. The family arrived in Delhi, via a Dakota aircraft after the Partition of India and then migrated to Pune, then Meerut and settled again finally in Delhi. Bakshi was fond of writing poetry since his youth, but he did this mostly as a private hobby.
