Kfar Qassem BS Club (beach Soccer)
Kfar Qassem BS Club ( he, בני "פלפלה" כפר קאסם , ar, فلفلة أبناء كفر قاسم) is a professional beach soccer team based in Kfar Qassem, Israel. Kfar Qassem has won 5 national championships, more than any beach soccer team in Israel. In 2018, the club reached Nazaré Cup's final, but lost 2–3 to Kristall and therefore finished as the runners-up. In 2023, the club has won the Euro Winners Cup. Israeli Beach Soccer League
The Israeli Beach Soccer League ( he, הליגה הישראלית בכדורגל חופים), currently known as Ligat Bank Yahav ( he, ליגת בנק יהב) for sponsorship reasons, is the top division in the Israeli Beach Soccer league. In July 2007 the league was inaugurated under the supervision of the Israel Football Association. To celebrate the launch of the league, a friendly game between national teams of England and Israel was played, with the Israelis winning 6–5. Background The league first edition took place every Friday at Netanya Poleg beach on newly built beach sports stadium. The players participating in ''ligat San-Miguel'' were active and retired football players, Futsal players and some talents who was found by the league scouts. At the end of the season, "Netanya's diamonds" won the championship, after beating "MZ Rosh HaAyin" 5–2 in the final. The inaugural 2013 Euro Winners Cup was a beach soccer tournament that took place on two pitches at the UMPI Smart Beach Arena stadium, located at the Riviera delle Palme resort in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy, from 15 – 19 May 2013. The tournament brought together club champions of many domestic beach soccer leagues across Europe, almost in the same vein as the UEFA Champions League. Eliott Mounoud (born 10 August 1995) is a Swiss beach soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for the Swiss national team. Besides Switzerland, he has played in Georgia, Costa Rica, Israel, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Portugal, and Spain. Career Mounoud has lived in Torredembarra, Spain since the age of five and originally wanted to represent the Spanish national team, and so initially rejected calls from Switzerland. The 2017 Euro Winners Cup was the fifth edition of Euro Winners Cup, an annual continental beach soccer tournament for top men's European clubs, similar to that of the UEFA Champions League, organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW). This season the tournament was being held in Nazaré, Portugal, from 26 May till 4 June 2017.
