Kevin McManus (filmmaker)
Kevin McManus is an American filmmaker and television writer. He is known for writing and directing the 2021 film ''The Block Island Sound'', as well as the 2012 ''South By Southwest'' official selection ''Funeral Kings''. He is also known for writing and producing episodes of the ''Netflix'' series ''American Vandal'' and ''Cobra Kai''. For his work on ''American Vandal'', McManus was nominated for an ''Emmy Awards, Emmy Award'' for Outstanding Writing in a Limited Series or TV Movie and won a Peabody Award. Career McManus's first feature film, ''Funeral Kings'' premiered in March 2012 at the ''South By Southwest'' Film Festival. He then went on to produce the horror feature film ''13 Cameras'' which earned a ''The New York Times, New York Times'' Critic's Pick. Binge-watching (also called binge-viewing) is the practice of watching entertainment or informational content for a prolonged time span, usually a single television show. Statistics Binge-watching overlaps with marathon viewing which places more emphasis on stamina and less on self-indulgence. In a survey conducted by Netflix in February 2014, 73% of people define binge-watching as "watching between 2–6 episodes of the same TV show in one sitting". Some researchers have argued that binge-watching should be defined based on the context and the actual content of TV show. A film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects and visualizes the screenplay (or script) while guiding the film crew and actors in the fulfilment of that vision.
