Kevin Haggerty (born October 27, 1972) was a Pennsylvania State Representative from the 112th District. He defeated three term Rep. Ken Smith in the 2012 primary to secure the Democratic nomination in 2012. He served on the Children & Youth, Game & Fisheries, Human Services, and Veterans Affairs Committees. He was defeated in the 2014 Primary Election by fellow Democratic incumbent Representative Frank Farina after Farina's 115th District was folded into the 112th District. He defeated Farina in a rematch in the 2016 election. Rep. Kevin Haggerty cited his status as a veteran during his election process. Frank Farina (born June 11, 1976) was a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 115th District from 2013 to 2014 and the 112th District from 2015 to 2016. Farina was first elected in 2012, and was sworn-in on January 2, 2013. He defeated former Lackawanna County commissioner Randy Castellani by 110 votes in the Democratic primary to secure the party's nomination. Dunmore is a borough (Pennsylvania), borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States, adjoining Scranton, Pennsylvania, Scranton. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania and was settled in 1835 and incorporated in 1862. Extensive anthracite, anthracite coal, brick, stone, and silk interests had led to a rapid increase in the population from 8,315 in 1890 to 23,086 in 1940.
