Kevin Ford (born March 8, 1979) is an American politician and businessman serving as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from the 54th district. Elected in November 2016, he assumed office in January 2017. Early life and education Ford was born in Jackson, Mississippi in 1979 and attended Warren Central High School in Vicksburg. He attended Hinds Community College and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Career Since 2011, Ford has operated the Ford Insurance Agency. The Mississippi House of Representatives is the lower house of the Mississippi Legislature, the lawmaking body of the U.S. state of Mississippi. According to the state constitution of 1890, it is to comprise no more than 122 members elected for four-year terms. To qualify as a member of the House candidates must be at least 21 years old, a resident of Mississippi for at least four years, and a resident in the district for at least two years. Vicksburg is a historic city in Warren County, Mississippi, United States. It is the county seat, and the population at the 2010 census was 23,856.
