Kevin Boyle (historian)
Kevin Boyle (7 October 1960) is an American author and the William Smith Mason Professor of American History at Northwestern University. His 2004 book, ''Arc of Justice: A Saga of Race, Civil Rights, and Murder in the Jazz Age'', won the National Book Award. Biography Early years Boyle was born in Detroit, Michigan, and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Detroit, now University of Detroit Mercy in 1982. In 1990, he received his doctorate from the University of Michigan, where he was mentored by Sidney Fine, biographer of Frank Murphy. Career Boyle's first academic job was as assistant professor of history at the University of Toledo. In 1994, Boyle was appointed an assistant professor in the history department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After promotion to associate professor, he served as director of the UMass Amherst graduate program in history in 1999. Kevin Boyle (lawyer)
Christopher Kevin Boyle (23 May 1943 – 25 December 2010) was a Northern Irish-born human rights activist, barrister and educator. He was among the first in the academic law community to engage in human rights activism. Born and brought up in Newry, Boyle studied law at Queen's University Belfast. He was a lecturer in law at Queen's when he took part in the 1969 People's Democracy march from Belfast to Derry which was attacked by loyalists at Burntollet. He was later involved in the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association. Boyle's brotherLouis Boyle also an alumnus of Queen's, was at the time active as a Catholic Unionist, and unsuccessfully sought to be the Unionist and Conservative candidate for South Down in the 1969 Stormont elections. Kevin Boyle (ice Hockey)
Kevin Boyle (born May 30, 1992) is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender. Boyle played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Anaheim Ducks. Playing career Amateur Boyle first played competitive hockey as a junior with the New Jersey Rockets of the Atlantic Junior Hockey League from 2007 through 2010, he made one appearance with the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League (USHL) during his tenure with the Rockets. Moving to the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) as an 18-year old for the 2010-11 BCHL season, 2010–11 season, Boyle appeared in 39 games for the Westside Warriors, earning All-Rookie Team honours. Boyle originally committed to play collegiate hockey at the University of Massachusetts Amherst of the Hockey East. Kevin Boyles
Kevin Currie Boyles (born September 17, 1967 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a former volleyball player for Canada. He used to be the head coach of the University of Calgary Dinos women's volleyball team. A native of Calgary Boyles was captain of the Dinos team as a 5-year player from 1985 through 1989 and in 1993-4, including in 1989 when they went undefeated en route to the CWUAA and CIAU championship. He graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees in kinesiology. An 8-year member of the national team program, Boyles was member of the Canadian team that finished tenth at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He played professionally in Germany. Boyles was head coach of the Dinos women's team from 1999 to 2008.
