Kerala State Film Award For Second Best Actor
The Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actor was an award presented annually from 1969 to 2014 at the Kerala State Film Awards of India. The Kerala State Film Awards is managed by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, an autonomous non-profit institution working under the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala. Rahman is the youngest recipient at age 16 for ''Koodevide'' (1983). The award was discontinued in 2014 and was succeeded by the Kerala State Film Award for Best Character Actor from 2015 onwards. Thilakan
Palappurathu Kesavan Surendranatha Thilakan (15 July 1935 – 24 September 2012) was an Indian film and stage actor who appeared in over 200 Malayalam films. Thilakan was known for his elaborate method acting, realistic and spontaneous appearances. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest Indian actors of all time. Early life Thilakan was the second of the six children of Palapurath T. S. Keshavan (1904–1972) and Devayani (1912–2010). Thilakan was born in Plankamon, Ayroor Panchayat in the present-day Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. He had his primary education from Asan Pallikoodam, Manikkal and St. Louis Catholic School, Nalamvayal and Sree Narayana College, Kollam. Murali (Malayalam Actor)
Muraleedharan Pillai, popularly known as Murali ( ml, മുരളി, 25 May 1954 – 6 August 2009) was an Indian film, stage and television actor and author. He mainly appeared in Malayalam films and a few Tamil films and also many other movies. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Appa Mestry, a communist freedom fighter and professional weaver in the 2002 film ''Neythukaran''. He was known for his powerful portrayal of character roles, lead roles and negative roles. Murali started his film career playing villain roles and soon turned to character acting. He played the leading role in the 1992 film ''Aadhaaram'', which gave a "break" to his career. ''Thalavattam'' is a 1986 Indian Malayalam-language drama film written and directed by Priyadarshan, starring Mohanlal, M. G. Soman and Karthika. The film is very loosely based on the 1975 movie '' One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'' which was an adaptation of the 1962 novel of the same name by Ken Kesey. K. Bhaskaran Nair (1 March 1929 – 29 March 1990), known by his stage name Adoor Bhasi, was an Indian actor and film director from Kerala. Adoor Bhasi was almost always cast as the man who stands next to the hero.
