Eugene James Keogh
Eugene James Keogh (August 30, 1907 – May 26, 1989) was an American lawyer and politician who served as a member of the United States House of Representatives from New York. He served 15 terms from 1937 to 1967. Background Keogh was born on August 30, 1907, in Brooklyn, New York City. He graduated from New York University in 1927 and from Fordham University School of Law in 1930. Career He was a member of the New York State Assembly (Kings Co., 20th D.) in 1936. He was elected as a Democrat to the 75th through the 89th United States Congresses, holding office from January 3, 1937, to January 3, 1967. He served on the House Ways and Means committee and sponsored the original legislation for the Keogh plan, a type of pension plan. In 1947-8, he served on the Herter Committee. He was also a member of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board from 1973 until 1976. Richard John Keogh (born 11 August 1986) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Ipswich Town and for the Republic of Ireland national team. His main positional role is at centre-back, though he has also played at right-back during his career. Keogh began his career as a trainee at Ipswich Town and Stoke City, making his professional debut on loan from the latter at Icelandic club Víkingur in 2004. He joined Bristol City on a free transfer in 2005 and made his Football League debut in September of that year. Patrick Keogh, also known as Pat Keogh or Paddy Keogh, (c. 1867 – 12 March 1940) was a New Zealand rugby union footballer who toured with the 1888–89 New Zealand Native football team. Playing at Rugby union positions#Scrum-half, half-back, Keogh was considered the star player on the tour, which was the first by a Southern Hemisphere team to the British Isles. Nina Keogh ( ) is a Canadian puppet builder, voice actress and puppeteer. She is a former member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, Canadian Actors' Equity Association, UDA, and is an ACTRA member since 1968. Myles Keogh
Myles Walter Keogh (25 March 1840 – 25 June 1876) was an Irish people, Irish soldier. He served in the armies of the Papal States during the war for Italian unification in 1860, and was recruited into the Union Army during the American Civil War, serving as a cavalry officer, particularly under Brig. Gen. John Buford during the Gettysburg Campaign and the three-day Battle of Gettysburg. After the war, Keogh remained in the regular United States Army as commander of I Troop of the 7th Cavalry Regiment under George Armstrong Custer during the Indian Wars, until he was killed along with Custer and all five of the companies directly under Custer's command at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876. Matthew Lon Keough ( ; July 3, 1955 – May 1, 2020) was an American professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a right-handed pitcher from through for the Oakland Athletics (1977–1983), New York Yankees (1983–1984), St. Louis Cardinals (1985), Chicago Cubs (1986) and Houston Astros (1986). Liam Keogh (born 6 September 1981 in Aberdeen) is a Scottish former professional association footballer, who played as a midfielder. He began his career as a junior with Celtic in September 1997, but never appeared in the Celtic first team.
