Keith MacDonald
Keith Ostrander MacDonald (July 18, 1927 – March 27, 2021) was a politician in Ontario, Canada. MacDonald was educated at Albert College in Belleville, Ontario, and worked as a businessman, farmer and tourist operator. He was a member of the Belleville McFarlands, World ice hockey, Hockey Champions in 1959. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as a Ontario Liberal Party, Liberal from 1987 to 1990. He first ran for the Ontario legislature in the 1975 Ontario general election, 1975 provincial election, but lost to Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, Progressive Conservative James Taylor (Ontario politician), James Taylor by 732 votes in the riding of Prince Edward—Lennox (provincial electoral district), Prince Edward—Lennox. A Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) is an elected member of the Legislative Assembly of the Canadian province of Ontario. The Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario (french: Parti progressiste-conservateur de l'Ontario), often shortened to the Ontario PC Party or simply the PCs, colloquially known as the Tories, is a centre-right political party in Ontario, Canada. Paul R. Johnson (born January 3, 1952) is a former politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a New Democratic Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1990 to 1995. David Peterson
David Robert Peterson (born December 28, 1943) is a Canadian lawyer and former politician who served as the 20th premier of Ontario from 1985 to 1990. He was the first Liberal officeholder in 42 years, ending the so-called Tory dynasty. Background Peterson was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Clarence Marwin Peterson (1913–2009) and Laura Marie Scott (1913–2015), and has two siblings, former MPP Tim Peterson and former MP Jim Peterson. The 1987 Ontario general election was held on September 10, 1987, to elect members of the 34th Legislative Assembly of Ontario. The governing Ontario Liberal Party, led by Premier David Peterson, was returned to power with their first majority government in half a century, and the second-largest majority government in the province's history. Peterson had successfully managed to govern with a minority in the Legislature by obtaining the co-operation of the Ontario New Democratic Party, led by Bob Rae, in a confidence and supply agreement. It was through the NDP's support that Peterson was able to form a government, even though the Progressive Conservative Party had won a slightly larger number of seats in the previous election. James Allan Taylor (May 2, 1928 – September 1, 2020) was a lawyer and politician in Ontario, Canada. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1971 to 1987 and was a cabinet minister in the government of Bill Davis. Taylor was a member of the Progressive Conservative Party.
