Keith Wills Hughes (born September 12, 1963) is a former Major League Baseball player who played for five teams in his major league career which lasted for parts of four seasons. He made his debut on May 19, 1987 with the New York Yankees. Then the Yankees traded him and Shane Turner to the Philadelphia Phillies for Mike Easler where he finished his rookie season. The following season he was traded with Rick Schu and Jeff Stone to the Baltimore Orioles for Frank Bellino and Mike Young. He played in 41 games with the Orioles that year, and didn't play in the majors in 1989. In December of that year he was traded again. This time the Orioles traded him with Cesar Mejia to the New York Mets for John Mitchell and Joaquin Contreras. Keith Hughes (June 29, 1968 – February 8, 2014) was an American basketball player who played for two years at Syracuse University and then transferred to Rutgers University, before being drafted by the Houston Rockets, and subsequently being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, in the 1991 NBA draft. High school career Hughes started playing basketball with Carteret High School. He was named to the New Jersey All Sophomore team 1984. In 1986, he was nominated to the McDonald's All-American Game (Top 50). Keith Hughes (born 15 December 1949) is a Welsh former rugby union international. Born in Glanamman, Hughes earned three caps for Wales. He made his debut as a winger against Ireland in a 1970 Five Nations match at Lansdowne Road. In 1973, he was recalled in his more customary position of centre to play Australia at Cardiff. His final appearance, also as a centre, came against Scotland in the 1974 Five Nations. Hughes, a Cambridge blue, spent a lot of his rugby career in England. He was a London Welsh player and was a county captain for Surrey, leading them on a tour of South Africa. After returning to Wales in 1978, he appeared briefly for Llanelli, but soon retired from top level rugby to concentrate on his medical practice in West Wales.
