Keith Bracey
Keith Arthur Bracey (3 May 1916 – 28 October 2010) was a New Zealand television reporter and host who with his goatee beard was one of Television New Zealand's most recognised figures. Background In 1966 he was the inaugural presenter for New Zealand's first daily current affairs show, '' Town and Around''. On 28 April 2006 at the age of 90 he was at TVNZ headquarters in Auckland to celebrate the 40th anniversary of ''Town and Around''. Television Bracey had a fair amount of involvement with the crime fighting series, ''Police 5'' that began in 1976. For ten years he fronted the show and he also produced and did research for it. He stayed with it until it was shut down in 1986. There was talk of a replacement show of a similar nature. His being removed from the show made the front page in the news. ''The New Zealand Herald'' is a daily newspaper published in Auckland, New Zealand, owned by New Zealand Media and Entertainment, and considered a newspaper of record for New Zealand. John Hawkesby
John Langley Hawkesby (born 1947) is a former news presenter for ONE News and THREE News in New Zealand. Hawkesby attended Auckland Grammar School in 1964. His started his broadcasting career in 1972 when he researched and presented Radio New Zealand's Christian oriented "Reflecting On" programme. This programme achieved six Mobil Radio Awards for "Excellence in Broadcasting". In 1986 Hawkesby moved to Radio Hauraki and read the breakfast news. In 1977 he joined TV2 as newsreader and in 1981 presented the top rating ''Top Half'' regional news programme for TVNZ. Hawkesby went on to host the popular '' It's in the Bag'' programme with co-host Hilary Timmins. In 1992 Hawkesby moved to TV3 as newsreader and in 1995 and 1996 was voted ''TV Guides People's Choice "Best Presenter", and "Best Newsreader". Judy Bailey
Judy Ann Bailey (born ) is a former news presenter for ONE News, the highest rated evening television news programme in New Zealand. Bailey joined the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation (now Television New Zealand) in 1971 and worked as a reporter on news and current affairs programmes. She presented the regional news with John Hawkesby for Auckland from 1980 to 1987 in the programme ''Top Half''. From 1986 she presented the ''Network News at Six'' news bulletin (alongside Neil Billington in 1986 - 87 and then Richard Long until the end of 2003). A reshuffle in TVNZ following the departure of Paul Holmes in 2004 saw her become the sole news presenter for the 6pm ''ONE News'' bulletin, and her salary soared to NZ$800,000.
