Keedy House
The Keedy House is a historic home located at Boonsboro, Washington County, Maryland, United States. It is a -story home, three bays wide and two deep, built of coursed gray stone about 1790. Boonsboro, Maryland
Boonsboro is a town in Washington County, Maryland, United States, located at the foot of South Mountain. It nearly borders Frederick County and is proximate to the Antietam National Battlefield. The population was 3,336 at the 2010 census. History Local lore asserts Boonsboro was founded by George Boone, a cousin of Daniel Boone, and was originally named "Margaretsville" after his wife. The town was incorporated as Boonesborough in 1831. Local newspapers and villagers preferred the name Boonsboro. The former name was used on some documents as late as 1903. Boonsboro was a key town during the American Civil War. Two battles were fought in its present borders. The town was also used to keep wounded soldiers after the Battle of Antietam in September 1862. Southeast of the town was the site of the Battle of South Mountain. Boonsboro lies on what used to be the National Road. Today it is known as either the Old National Pike or Alt-U.S. 40. Gary Keedy
Gary Keedy (born 27 November 1974) is a retired English cricketer. A slow-left arm spin bowler, he played one match for Yorkshire in 1994, having graduated from their cricket academy, before moving to Lancashire in 1995. He played for the club until 2012 taking over 500  first-class wickets. Although he had played youth internationals, he never played for the senior England team, although he was named in the squad a few times. In 2011 he was part of the Lancashire squad that won the County Championship for the first time since 1950. Keedy subsequently played one season for Surrey and two for Nottinghamshire before retiring as a professional cricketer in 2015. Jeffery Keedy, born 1957, is an American graphic designer, type designer, writer and educator. He is notable as an essayist and contributor to books and periodicals on graphic design. He is also notable for the design of ''Keedy Sans'', a typeface acquired in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in 2011.
