Kee Marcello's K2
Kee Marcello's K2 is a Sweden, Swedish hard rock band which was originally the solo project of former Europe (band), Europe guitarist Kee Marcello. The other members were bassist Klatuu (later revealed as an alias for Kee Marcello) and former King Diamond drummer Snowy Shaw.. The first album, ''Melon Demon Divine'' was released on Frontier Records in 2004. From the first tour Ken Sandin, former bass player of Alien (band), Alien and Transport League (band), Transport League joined the band 10 years ago. In 2009 drummer Mike Terrana (from Rage (German band), Rage, Yngwie Malmsteen and Tarja Turunen), and Marco Mendoza (from Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake) joined the band for their first European tour with this lineup. A new album is said to be released in the first quarter of 2010. Thin Lizzy
Thin Lizzy are an Irish hard rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. Their music reflects a wide range of influences, including blues, soul music, psychedelic rock and traditional Irish folk music, but is generally classified as hard rock or sometimes heavy metal. Two of the founding members, drummer Brian Downey and bass guitarist, lead vocalist and principal songwriter Phil Lynott, met while still in school. Lynott led the group throughout their recording career of twelve studio albums, writing most of the material. The singles "Whiskey in the Jar" (a traditional Irish ballad), "The Boys Are Back in Town" and "Waiting for an Alibi" were international hits. Marco Mendoza is an American rock musician who has worked in diverse genres. He became a professional rock musician in 1989 and debuted on Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward's solo album '' Along the Way''. He has performed on a number of notable releases troughout his career, including Live... in the Still of the Night by Whitesnake, '' One Night Only'' by Thin Lizzy and Live In Concert At Lollapalooza by Journey. Career Marco Mendoza (born 1963) started his professional career in 1989, playing bass for former Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward's solo album '' Along the Way'', which was released in January 1990. In 1991, he replaced former Heart bassist Steve Fossen in the band Alias in 1991. Tarja Soile Susanna Turunen-Cabuli (born 17 August 1977), known professionally as Tarja Turunen or simply Tarja, is a Finnish heavy metal singer, best known as the former lead vocalist of Nightwish. She is a soprano with a three and a half octave range. Turunen studied singing at Sibelius Academy and Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe. She is a professional classical lied singer, and the former lead vocalist of the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, which she founded with Tuomas Holopainen and Emppu Vuorinen in 1996. Rage is a German heavy metal band formed in 1984 by Peter "Peavy" Wagner. They were part of the German heavy/speed/power metal scene which emerged in the early to mid-1980s, and have been referred to as one of the country's so-called "big four" of power metal, along with Grave Digger, Helloween and Running Wild. Rage was formed in 1984 under the name Avenger. After releasing their debut album ''Prayers of Steel'' and their ''Depraved to Black'' EP in 1985, the band changed their name to Rage because there was another band in England that shared the same name. Mike Terrana (born January 21, 1960) is an American hard rock and heavy metal drummer. His first professional work was in 1984 with the MCA band Hanover Fist from Toronto, Canada, after which he recorded and toured with other bands, playing many styles of music in western New York state. Between 1987 and 1997, he was based in Los Angeles and worked with various virtuoso guitarists, including Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony Macalpine, and Steve Lukather, and bands like Kuni and Beau Nasty. In 1997, Terrana moved to Europe, first in the Netherlands for six months and then Germany. Alien is a Swedish rock and metal band formed in Gothenburg in 1986, by guitarist Tony Borg and vocalist Jim Jidhed. They are best known today for their single "Only One Woman", a cover of a Marbles song, and "Brave New Love", which was featured in the end credits of the 1988 remake of ''The Blob''. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements.
