Wilson-Smith competed in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in women's doubles with partner Jane Crabtree. In mixed doubles, Wilson-Smith and partner Travis Denney lost to Björn Siegemund and Nicol Pitro of Germany in the round of 32. Katherine Lucy Smith is a British diplomat who served as British Ambassador to Greece from January 2017 until July 2021. Smith joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1987, serving in Lusaka and then in London in the Central African Department. She then did a tour in Athens in 1991, and then in the Counter-Proliferation Department focusing on Chemical and Biological Weapons. Later she served at the UN in New York and on security postings in London before becoming Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Tehran from 2005 to 2007. She was appointed a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG) in the New Year's Honours for 2008. On return from Tehran, Smith was seconded to Royal Dutch Shell where she served as international adviser from 2008 and then head of UK governmental relations from 2009 until 2012. Kate Mary Smith (1847-1932) was a businesswoman from Brisbane, Queensland. She was Queensland's first female funeral director, with her business being called K. M. Smith Funeral Directors. Born Catherine Mary Farrell, Kate immigrated to Australia in the 1860s and married John Smith, who had using his cabinet-making and carpentry skills to make coffins. After John died in 1886, Kate ran the business with the assistance of her eldest son, also called John. She closely monitored all aspects of the business. Katie Smith (born June 4, 1974) is lead assistant coach for the Minnesota Lynx of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She is the former head coach of the New York Liberty. A retired professional basketball player, Smith's primary position was shooting guard, although she sometimes played small forward or point guard. She was the all-time leading scorer in women's professional basketball, having achieved over 7000 points in both her ABL and WNBA career. In 2016, she was voted one of the WNBA Top 20@20.
