Karra River
The Karra River (Karra Khola or Karrakhola in Nepali) is a river in Makawanpur district of Bagmati Province in Nepal. A right tributary of the East Rapti River, it originates in the north-eastern Siwalik hills. It has numerous tributary rivulets. It flows from east to west direction. It is one of the main tributaries of the East Rapti. It flows through the middle of Hetauda sub-metropolitan city, before draining into East Rapti along with Kukhreni, another (minor) right tributary of East Rapti, in the outskirts of the city, forming a holy Triveni Sangam. The confluence is the site of Kusmanda Sarowar Triveni Dham, one of the major Triveni pilgrimages for Hindus in Nepal. The flow of Karra was found to be about 0.84 cubic meters per second in the dry seasons, and the minimum flow right before monsoon was measured to be between 0.65 and 0.75 cubic meters per second. Karra Block
Karra block is a CD block that forms an administrative division in the Khunti Sadar subdivision of Khunti district, in the Indian state of Jharkhand. History Khunti subdivision was formed in Ranchi district in 1905 and Khunti district was created on 12 September 2007. Maoist activities Hemant Soren, Chief Minister of Jharkhand, has claimed, in September 2021, that effective action against Left wing extremism has reduced the active involvement of such groups to only a few areas that includes the tri-junction of Khunti, Seraikela Kharsawan and West Singhbhum districts. Khunti has been a Maoist-hit district. Well co-ordinated efforts by Jharkhand police, including community policing programmes in remote areas, have shown positive results. Karra, Khunti
Karra is a village in the Karra CD block in the Khunti Sadar subdivision of the Khunti district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Geography Location Karra is located at Area overview In the adjacent map the area shown is “undulating and covered with hills, hillocks and jungles (jungles/ forests are shown as shaded area in the map). The soil of the area is rocky, sandy and red loam upland. There are paddy fields only in the depressions.
