Karnataka Janapada Vishwavidyalaya
Karnataka Folklore University, also known as Karnataka Jaanapada Vishwavidyalaya, is a public university exclusively dedicated to the study and research of folklore. It was established in 2011 at Haveri district by the Government of Karnataka. Its first vice chancellor was Ambalike Hiriyanna. The university is claimed to be world's first university for folklore. It was inaugurated on 16 June 2012 by the then Chief Minister of Karnataka D. V. Sadananda Gowda. Governor Of Karnataka
The Governor of Karnataka is the constitutional head of the Indian state of Karnataka. The governor is appointed by the president of India for a term of five years, and holds office at the president's pleasure. The governor is ''de jure'' head of the government of Karnataka; all its executive actions are taken in the governor's name. However, the governor must act on the advice of the popularly elected council of ministers, headed by the chief minister of Karnataka, which thus holds ''de facto'' executive authority in the state. Shiggaavi is a municipal town in Haveri district in the Indian state of Karnataka. Geography Shiggaon is about 365 km from Bengaluru and 465 km from Pune on the NH-48 (National Highway 4). Shiggaon taluk was earlier in Dharwad district. University Grants Commission (India)
University Grants Commission (UGC) is a statutory body set up by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India in accordance to the UGC Act 1956 and is charged with coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of higher education in India. It provides recognition to universities in India, and disbursements of funds to such recognized universities and colleges. Haveri is a city in Karnataka, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Haveri district. Haveri is famous for its cardamom garlands and Byadagi red chillies.
