Karl Rose
Karl Rose (born 12 October 1978) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. He is currently the chairman and manager of Wombwell Town who play in the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior Football League. Playing career Rose began his playing career in the Football League with Barnsley, where he was tipped to go to the top following several youth international honours. However following his initial break through into the first team his career was blighted by a serious knee injury resulting in over 20 operations. Following his release from Barnsley against medical advice Rose resurrected his career with brief spells at Mansfield and Rochdale before finally moving to Scarborough. During his spell at Scarborough under Russell Slade he became a fans favourite and was key part in the 2004 FA Cup run where he scored the winning against Doncaster Rovers which featured on BBC Match of the Day. Karl Rose (naval Officer)
Karl Rose was a naval officer in the German Imperial Navy who served under Karl August Nerger aboard the SMS ''Wolf'' during World War I. During the ''Wolf's'' 451-day sortie, Rose became Nerger's second in command after the death of kapitänleutnant Iwan Brandes. Rose was made prize captain of two separate ships during the voyage; the Japanese mailship ''Hitachi Maru'', and the coal freighter ''Igotz Mendi''. On 7 November 1917, the order was given to sink The ''Hitachi Maru'' in order to preserve what little coal there was for the ''Wolf's'' engines. However, Rose would soon be given command of another prize ship ten days later with the capture of the ''Igotz Mendi''. Rose would command the ''Igotz Mendi'' for the rest of the voyage back to Germany. Rose's fortunes would change when he accidentally ran his ship aground on the beaches of Denmark. Karl Philipp Sebottendorf Van Der Rose
Karl Philipp Sebottendorf van der Rose (17 July 1740 – 11 April 1818) enrolled in the Austrian army at the age of 18, became a general officer during the French Revolutionary Wars, and commanded a division against Napoleon Bonaparte in several notable battles during the Italian campaign of 1796. Early career Sebottendorf was born in Luxembourg in the Austrian Netherlands on 17 July 1740 of parents Oberst ( Colonel) Johann Moritz Sebottendorf van der Rose (d. 1760) and Maria Anna Bodek von Ellgau (d. 1791). After military studies at the Wiener-Neustadt Academy, he joined the Austrian '' Waldeck'' Infantry Regiment # 35 in 1758. By the time of the War of the Bavarian Succession he had risen in rank to Captain. In 1779 an inquiry acquitted him after he was accused of cowardice. Carl August Nicholas Rosa (22 March 184230 April 1889) was a German-born musical impresario best remembered for founding an English opera company known as the Carl Rosa Opera Company. He started his company in 1869 together with his wife, Euphrosyne Parepa-Rosa, and popularised opera in Britain and America, performing standard repertory in English, as well as operas by English composers. Early life and career Rosa was born Karl August Nikolaus Rose in Hamburg, Germany, the son of Ludwig Rose, a Hamburg businessman, and Sophie Becker. His father subsequently took him to Edinburgh. Carlos De La Rosa better known by his stage name Karlos Rosé is a Dominican bachata (music), Bachata music artist. He began his career as a singer on the Dominican television program Divertido con Jochy when he was seventeen years old. In 2012, he released his debut single "Just the Way You Are (Bruno Mars song), Just the Way You Are", a bachata (music), bachata music cover of Bruno Mars's song which reached number one on the Tropical Songs, ''Billboard'' Tropical Songs.
