Karl Richter (tennis)
Karl Richter (born July 21, 1960) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Biography Richter grew up Auburn, California, near Sacramento. As a collegiate player at Texas Christian University (TCU) he won the NCAA Division 1 doubles title in 1981. He and partner David Pate were seeded third and defeated Arkansas's Pat Serret and Peter Doohan in the final. This made them the first players in TCU's history to win a national championship in tennis. Turning professional in 1983, Richter spent four years on the international tour, mostly as a doubles specialist. His most regular partner on tour was Rick Rudeen and the pair were runners-up at a Grand Prix tournament in Auckland in 1986. During his professional career he appeared in the main draw of all four Grand Slam tournaments, with a best result coming at the 1986 Wimbledon Championships, where he partnered with Australian player David Graham to make the third round. Wally Masur (; born 13 May 1963) is a tennis coach, television commentator, and former professional tennis player from Sydney, Australia. He reached the semifinals of the 1987 Australian Open – Men's singles, 1987 Australian Open and the 1993 US Open – Men's singles, 1993 US Open, achieving a career-high singles ranking of world No. 15 in October 1993. Anders Per Järryd (; born 13 July 1961) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. During his career he won eight Grand Slam doubles titles (three French Open, two Wimbledon, two US Open, one Australian Open), reached the world No. 1 doubles ranking, and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 5. Stefan Bengt Edberg (; born 19 January 1966) is a Swedish former professional tennis player. A major proponent of the serve-and-volley style of tennis, he won six Grand Slam singles titles and three Grand Slam men's doubles titles between 1985 and 1996.
