The roe deer (''Capreolus capreolus''), also known as the roe, western roe deer, or European roe, is a species of deer. The male of the species is sometimes referred to as a roebuck. The roe is a small deer, reddish and grey-brown, and well-adapted to cold environments. Karacalar is a village in the Emirdağ District, Afyonkarahisar Province, Turkey. Its population is 667 (2021). The village was founded in the 1730s as Kiliççeken, it was later renamed Üç Kuyu, then in 1850 Karacalar.Karacalardan Tarihi - Geschiedenis van het dorp, ''karacalara.net'' Population Migration Many inhabitants from Karacalar migrated to Western Europe since the 1960s.
