Kandachipuram Taluk
Kandachipuram taluk is one of the 9 taluks of Viluppuram district, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Administration Kandachipuram taluk is within Villupuram district, one of the 38 districts of Tamil Nadu. The taluk was created at some point between 2011 and 2019, when its area was split off from Tirukkoyilur taluk, as that taluk was still part of Viluppuram district prior to 2019. Following the 2019 bifurcation of Viluppuram district which created Kallakurichi district, the taluk's southern border was altered, as that border became part of the border between the two districts. This alteration included a change which resulted in the town panchayat of Arakandanallur becoming part of Kandachipuram taluk. The headquarters of the taluk is its namesake, the town of Kandachipuram, which is in the northern part of the taluk. The taluk is part of the Viluppuram revenue division of Viluppuram district. A tehsil (, also known as tahsil, taluka, or taluk) is a local unit of administrative division in some countries of South Asia. It is a subdistrict of the area within a district including the designated populated place that serves as its administrative centre, with possible additional towns, and usually a number of villages. Kallakurichi District
Kallakurichi is one of the 38 districts in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. The district headquarter is Kallakurichi. Kallakurichi District was announced on 8 January 2019 and it came into existence on 26 November 2019. History During Ancient times, the region was under the rules of Cholas, Pallavas and various Local Chieftains like Tirukoilur king Malaiyaman. Tiruvannamalai district (previously known as Central Arcot, Tiruvannamalai Sambhuvarayar District) is the largest and one of the 38 districts in the state of Tamil Nadu, in South India. It was formed in the year 1989 through the bifurcation of North Arcot into the Tiruvannamalai Sambuvarayar and Vellore Ambedkar districts. The city of Tiruvannamalai is the district headquarters. Thiruvennainallur taluk is one of the 9 taluks of Viluppuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Administration Thiruvennainallur taluk is within the Viluppuram revenue division of Viluppuram district, one of the 38 districts of Tamil Nadu. The taluk, which has its headquarters in its namesake town of Thiruvennainallur, was created in 2019 as part of the bifurcation of Viluppuram district. To create the taluk, three revenue blocks were split off from Ulunderpet and Tirukkoyilur taluks. Panchayat samiti is a rural local government (panchayat) body at the intermediate tehsil (taluka/mandal) level in India. It works for the villages of the tehsil that together are called a development block. It has been said to be the "panchayat of panchayats". Revenue Block
Revenue blocks, revenue circles, ''firka'', or ''patwar circles'' are the local revenue sub-divisions of the various districts of the states of India. These blocks should not be confused with the similar Panchayath union blocks (Blocks) and ''taluks''. The revenue blocks exist to simplify local administration, and each consists of a small number of revenue villages, governed by a Revenue Inspector. The Revenue Inspector is charged with a number of key administrative roles, most notably the identification and collection of tax revenue. Sometimes the land area in a revenue circle is identified as an ILRC (Inspector Land Revenue Circle) for administrative purposes.
