KLDR (98.3 FM broadcasting, FM) is a radio station broadcasting an Adult Top 40 music format. Licensed to Harbeck-Fruitdale, Oregon, United States, the station serves Southern Oregon, including Grants Pass, Medford, and the Illinois Valley. The station is currently owned by Grants Pass Broadcasting Corp. History The station came on the air in 1991 as KAJO-FM, an FM simulcast of AM 1270 KAJO. In 1992, the simulcast was discontinued, as the station became “The Leader” KLDR, with a more gold-based Adult Contemporary format. The first song played on KLDR was “Africa” from Toto. Within a couple of years after its launch, KLDR moved in the direction of Adult Top 40. Classic Hits
Classic hits is a radio format which generally includes songs from the top 40 music charts from the late 1960s to the early 2000s, with music from the 1980s serving as the core of the format. Grants Pass, Oregon
Grants Pass is the county seat of Josephine County, Oregon, United States. The city is located on Interstate 5, northwest of Medford, along the Rogue River. The population was 39,189 at the 2020 census. History Early Hudson's Bay Company hunters and trappers, following the Siskiyou Trail, passed through the site beginning in the 1820s. In the late 1840s, settlers (mostly American) following the Applegate Trail began traveling through the area on their way to the Willamette Valley.
