K League Players' Player Of The Year
The K League Players' Player of the Year is an annual award given to the player who is adjudged to have been the best of the year in South Korea. The award has been presented since 2007 and the winner is chosen by a vote amongst the members of the K League players. This award was arranged by Korean edition of FourFourTwo, and was not an official award of K League. It was presented in summer unlike the K League MVP Award. Ki Sung-yueng
Ki Sung-yueng (Hangul: ; Hanja: ; ; born 24 January 1989) is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder or a defensive midfielder for the K League 1 club FC Seoul. From 2008 to 2019, Ki was a full international for South Korea, gaining over 100 caps. He was selected in their squads for three World Cups, leading them as captain in the 2018 edition in Russia, and participated in three Asian Cups, finishing as runner-up in the 2015 edition. Gimcheon Sangmu FC (Hangul: 김천 상무 프로축구단; Hanja: 金泉 尚武 프로蹴球團) is a South Korean professional association football club based in Gimcheon that competes in the K League 2, the second tier of South Korean football. Sangmu is the sports division of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces. Sangmu's playing staff is made up of young South Korean professional footballers serving their compulsory two-year military duty. Fifteen players join up at the start of every season and spend two years with the side before returning to their previous professional club. Kim Jung-woo (, born 9 May 1982) is a former South Korean footballer. Club career Kim was playing for military team Sangju Sangmu Phoenix to perform compulsory military service when participating in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and his low salary (₩0.95 million per year) during the military service was the talk of fans before the match against Argentina which had one of the highest earners Lionel Messi. Dejan Damjanović ( sr-cyrl, Дејан Дамјановић, ; born 27 July 1981), also known mononymously as Dejan, is a Montenegrin professional footballer who plays as a forward for Hong Kong Premier League club Kitchee. The 2010 K League, officially known as Sonata K-League 2010, was the 28th season of the K League. It was sponsored by Hyundai Motor Company, and was held from 27 February to 5 December 2010. The 2011 South Korean football match-fixing scandal, K League match-fixing scandal, the biggest incident in history of South Korean football, occurred in this season, and was revealed in 2011. 15 matches were fixed by 47 players, and they were banned for life from working in football.
