History 106-3 Pop-FM On May 6, 2013 at 1:06pm, KWNZ signed as 106-3 Pop-FM with a Rhythmic AC format. The first song was "''Pop Muzik''" by M. KOLC (97.3 FM) is a commercial radio station located in Carson City, Nevada, broadcasting to the Reno, Nevada, Carson City and Lake Tahoe areas. KOLC, known as Ten Country, broadcasts a country music format. Its studios are located on Plumb Lane in South Reno, and its transmitter is located on McClellan Peak northeast of Carson City, Nevada. History 97.3 MHz in Carson City went on air in 1972 as KPTL-FM. It was owned by William Cody Kelly and two years later was transferred to the Kelly Broadcasting Company, which gave its initials to the station's next callsign, KKBC. Rhythmic adult contemporary, often abbreviated as rhythmic AC or RAC, is an adult contemporary radio format. KUEZ (104.1 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station in Fallon, Nevada serving the Reno metropolitan area. It is owned by John Burkavage, with Big Horn Media, Inc. as the licensee. It broadcasts a soft adult contemporary radio format. KUEZ has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts. The transmitter is in Churchill County off Interstate 80 near the Fallon Rest Stop. Lovelock is the county seat of Pershing County, Nevada, United States, in which it is the only incorporated city. It is the namesake of a nearby medium-security men's prison and a Cold War-era gunnery range. Formerly a stop for settlers on their way to California and later a train depot, the town's economy remains based on farming, mining and increasingly on tourism. "Pop Muzik" is a 1979 song by M, a project by English musician Robin Scott, from the debut album ''New York • London • Paris • Munich''. The single, first released in the UK in early 1979, was bolstered by a music video (directed by Brian Grant) that was well received by critics. The clip featured Scott as a DJ singing into a microphone from behind an exaggerated turntable setup, at times flanked by two female models who sang and danced in a robotic manner.
