KBMP (90.5 FM, "Bott Radio Network") is a non-commercial educational radio station licensed to serve Enterprise, Kansas, United States. The station, established in 2002, is currently owned by the Bott Broadcasting Company and the broadcast license is held by Community Broadcasting, Inc. Programming KBMP broadcasts a religious radio format as part of the Bott Radio Network. The station features Bible teaching plus programming from several Christian news and information sources. History This station received its original construction permit for a new FM station broadcasting at 90.5 MHz from the Federal Communications Commission on March 15, 1999. Enterprise, Kansas
Enterprise is a city in Dickinson County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 708. History The first settlement at Enterprise was in 1868, and Enterprise was laid out in 1872. It was named for the enterprising qualities of the pioneer settlers. The first post office in Enterprise was established in January, 1873. On January 10, 1883, the Enterprise Town Company, capital $50,000, was organized. The following officers were elected: V. P. Wilson, president; John Johntz, vice-president; C. Hoffman, treasurer; T. C. Henry, secretary. Effective radiated power (ERP), synonymous with equivalent radiated power, is an IEEE standardized definition of directional radio frequency (RF) power, such as that emitted by a radio transmitter. It is the total power in watts that would have to be radiated by a half-wave dipole antenna to give the same radiation intensity (signal strength or power flux density in watts per square meter) as the actual source antenna at a distant receiver located in the direction of the antenna's strongest beam (main lobe). ERP measures the combination of the power emitted by the transmitter and the ability of the antenna to direct that power in a given direction.
