Kaikala Satyanarayana
Kaikala Satyanarayana (25 July 1935 – 23 December 2022) was an Indian actor, producer, director, and politician who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He appeared in over 750 films and served as the Member of Parliament in the 11th Lok Sabha representing Machilipatnam constituency from Telugu Desam Party. He was the recipient of the 2011 Raghupathi Venkaiah Award, and 2017 Filmfare Award for lifetime achievement in Telugu cinema. Early life Kaikala Satyanarayana was born on 25 July 1935 to Kaikala Laxmi Narayana from Kavutaram village in Krishna district. Having completed his primary education in Gudlavalleru and intermediate education in Vijayawada, Satyanarayana graduated from Gudivada College. Career Kaikala was first noticed by D. L. Koccharlakota Satyanarayana
Koccharlakota Satyanarayana (2 April 1915 - 1969) was a Telugu film and drama actor and playback singer during the early period of Telugu cinema.Abhinava Ramudu, Kocharlakota Satyanarayana, Tholinati Gramaphone Gayakulu, Modali Nagabhushana Sharma, Creative Links Publications, Hyderabad, 2010, pp. 41-2. He was born into a Zamindari family in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. His childhood was spent with his grandparents at Bhimadole during the 1910s. He liked sitting before the gramophone and used to sing along. While in Rajahmundry, during his high school days he joined Kesari Samajam of Machiraju Ramachandra Murthy and started acting in stage plays.
