K. V. Reddy
Kadiri Venkata Reddy (1 July 1912 – 15 September 1972) was an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer who primarily worked in Telugu cinema. He is considered as one of the greatest directors in the history of Telugu cinema. He directed 14 feature films and won three National Film Awards and a Filmfare Awards South, Filmfare Award South. Tadipatri or Tadpatri is a city in Anantapur district of the States and territories of India, Indian state of Andhra Pradesh at the border of Kurnool district and Kadapa district. Gunasundari Katha
''Gunasundari Katha'' is a 1949 Indian Telugu language fantasy film produced and directed by K. V. Reddy, starring Sriranjani, Kasturi Siva Rao, Santha Kumari. The script was written by Pingali Nagendra Rao, K. V. Reddy, and Kamalakara Kameswara Rao. Kameswara Rao was also the associate director. ''Pellinaati Pramanalu'' () is a 1958 Indian Telugu-language comedy drama film, produced and directed by K. V. Reddy. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Jamuna, with music composed by Ghantasala. The film was simultaneously made in Tamil as '' Vaazhkai Oppandham'' with a slightly different cast that released the following year. ''Pedda Manushulu'' ( or ) is a 1954 Indian Telugu-language drama film produced and directed by K. V. Reddy. ''Bhakta Potana'' is a 1943 Telugu-language biographical film directed by K. V. Reddy in his directorial debut. Based on the life of poet-saint Potana who translated Bhagavatham into Telugu language, the film was scripted by Samudrala Sr. The film had celebrated Jubilee runs all over the South India including Mysore state and Kerala.
